San Franciso Trip (Day 12 Night) A walk thru Las Vegas

After our visit to Grand Canyon, the tour bus drop us at our hotel around evening.

Mr Li and I quickly freshen up and continue our Vegas night.. I didn't want to walk much for 2 reasons..

1) Weather - Vegas was almost 40 degrees and even at night, the wind feels hot and dry.. Feel so tiring to walk even just crossing the road

2) Huge place. - Seriously even New York New York is just next to us.. To walk to the front of the hotel takes me 15 mins!!!!

The places that we went...

1) Coca - Cola world!
2) MGM world - to view the lions but i think we went there too late...
3) Excaliour Hotel - ended up playing acarde there as we don't know how to gamble.
3) Cacesar Place... wanted to do some shopping but all the shops are almost closing
4) It's ready mid night so we went to Denise for a super late dinner / supper!

We both are die tired.. and we fall almost immediately asleep when we hit the bed!

Super lazy scrapper!!

After attending my last class in 17th Oct.. I haven touch on my scrapping stuffs thus im officially a lazy scrapper!

Guess i better start making my Christmas tags... while searching online for ideas...

Ok.. I'm having weird emotions....
Firstly i feel empty and than abit pek chey which than evolve fully into pissed off..

A new eyelash to make my eye look bigger!!

A new set of nails.. Feels kind of weird on my fingers..

This new set of nails is actually nail art done on false tips and than pasted on my actual nails.. This is my first time trying out this nails beside soft gel nails... so the feel on my fingers still feel kind of weird.. It's as if there is something tied / pressed tightly on my nails. Hmmm..

So after seeing this.. my mood improves abit and I've decided to watch Supernatural Season 6 to ease that pek chey feeling....

Sex and the city 2 DVD

Is finally out!! I've been waiting for this DVD to be release until my neck grow long...

And today while I'm out with S, i finally see this DVD out in store.. so happy but i didn't purchase it cos S say that it's expensive and i think that it is too... It's actually quite ex for a dvd with a price tag of $29.90... Guess i got to rent it from my neighborhood DVD rental store!

I've been following Sex and the city series since 1.5 years back when my friend lent me the whole series.. and there are a few session of it which i totally love... namely from season 3 - 6..

Last June, when i was at USA, I brought season 3 & season 6 from Target supermarket.. couldn't get season 4 & 5 as there isn't any stock! =(

Very tempted to purchase it online as the US$ is going at a very good rate! As of 29th Oct its at SG$1-US$1.30.

Hmm.. anyway hopefully i can get my hands on SATC 2 dvd before i fly off to HK!

Pre Hongkong 2010 Trip

I'm counting down to 9 days...

Many things that I've to prepare and get it done...

Like

• Apply for travel insurance - usually I'll check between NTUC and DBS.. For single trip, usually these 2 companies quote quite a reasonable price.
  
  
• Apply for Auto Roaming!! - I've heard from some of my friends that we can actually purchase a sim from HK, it's much cheaper calling back to SG and within HK in case we need to make any dinning reservations or calling each other.
  
  
• Get ready my itinerary - I've searching online forums and blogs..
  This time round I won't be spending much time on tourist attraction, well maybe just 3 tourist attraction spot like Ngong Ping 360, The Peak and the Mid-level Escalator..
  
  This time I've plan to spend more time on street markets and more trendy shopping area where their local hippies will shop at for our shopping spree.
  
  And as for good food! Dim sum is no to be miss. I've include these 2 dim sum restaurant that we must visit . 1) Tim Ho Wan 2) Lin Heung Lau. Die die also must visit!! LOL!
  
• Exchange lots of HK$ Currency. - Now the rates are getting so good!! Just make a check on DBS website.. SG$1 - HK$5.90. I know that market rate will be plus minus around HK$5.85 -HK$5.90.. So long it's within this range, I'm happy.. but it's better if it could rise to HK$6!!! I think i better dream on... LOL!
  
  
• Ensure my passport is within it expiry date.. anyway I've no worries for this as I've just renew my passport before i went to USA in June'2010
  
• Pack my luggage! - It's already down to 9 days and I've yet to pack my luggage or at least prepare the stuffs that I'm going to bring!! I think i better start doing it if not I'm going to regret and kick myself in the butt if i forgotten to bring my chargers or toiletries....
  
  I can't wait to embark on my HK 2010 trip with my noisy friend, S! haha
  

San Francisco Trip (Day 12) Grand Canyon West Rim..

This morning, Mr Li and I set off early in the morning to our tour bus for a trip to Grand Canyon West Rim..

Very excited cos i know that Grand Canyon is one of the 7 wonders in the world.... Our tour includes bus ride to Grand Canyon and a visit to Hover Dam & Grand Canyon's skywalk and lunch too.

.Total duration of this tour takes us about 6hrs...still able to do some hotel hopper later when we are done. 

So let the pictures tell my story...

Pardon me for the different layout of my photo collage as Im trying out on a new program.. Didn't take any pictures of the skywalk as we are no allow to bring any camera or stuffs with us... 

So what is the skywalk?

The Grand Canyon captures the hearts of visitors around the world with its epic views of majestic mountain peaks and valleys, clear skies that soar into deep shades of blue, and the awesome biological diversity of Mother Nature.  Located at the canyon’s west rim, the Grand Canyon Skywalk allows visitors to “Walk the Sky” with its unique glass bottomed cantilever U shaped observation deck that spans 70 feet (21.34 meters) over the canyon’s rim and sits 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) above the Colorado River.  A construction masterpiece, the glass – which is the only element that separates visitors from the deep canyon floor – weighs 1.2 million pounds.   Completed in March 2007, the Skywalk is located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation in northwest Arizona and is the only architectural wonder of its kind that allows visitors to truly take in the experience of this beautiful and majestic place.

The Skywalk is really fun but for people like me who isn't really afraid of heights don't even dare to look down...

It must be the psychology thingy that makes me think the bridge is unsafe because of the glass. But the actual fact is that the bridge is so sturdy.. 

 

Anyway such adventure is a once in a lifetime.. but i won't go again... haha

My first practical driving test.....

After 10mths plus of driving lessons, today is the day where i'm going to take my practical driving test!

Damn kan cheong man!!

Yesterday i had my driving lesson with my instructor... my vertical parking at times is perfect and sometimes it's not... Not sure why too..

Is it because my judement is lousy? Hmmmmm

Anyway I've been telling myself this "I can do it"... and this will be on a repeat mode after 2pm!
Hopefully i won't have to take a 2nd attemp!!!

2010 Hongkong Trip

I'm already down to 15 days!! Yeah~~ sooo excited, although its a country that I've been to many times. Hongkong is one place where she will never lose her charm on me!

This time I've done alot of research on good food! This time round won't be touching on much tourist spots. Only Disneyland & Giant Buddha & Ngong Ping 360.

It's almost time for me to search for my luggage which lying somewhere in my store room and change SG$ - HK$$..... Recently the exchange rates are really good...

In 2007 and 2008 when i went there, it's only abt SG$1 - HK$4.50.. Now it's almost HK$5.8. Would it reach till HK$5.9?

Troubles Troubles.....

Wonder why humans have so much troubles, worries and all this causes one to stress out easily...

Every day Im hoping / dreaming that 1 day will be stress-free / debts free / worries- free...
Just don't know when the day will come....

If only i can leave everything behind and stay in a place where that are no worries. Guess my life will be so much happier...

Right now, i just have to make do with what i have and make myself happy!!

San Francisco Trip (Day 11) - Las Vegas @ Night

Seen and experience the warm and bright Vegas.. was hoping that during the night, weather could be slightly better. But! It's still the same... It's warm but the weather is sooo dry. Mr Li and I keep drinking bottles and bottles of water.

Luckily we brought another 24 bottles before we left Anaheim.

After checking in our hotel room, we quickly make our way to purchase tickets! My original plan was to watch phantom cos we missed this musical when it came to SG quite a few years back. But Mr Li's friend recommend us to watch circus de soleil "O"instead cos phantom musical is exactly just like how they show in the movies.

So we made our way to Bellagio.. Serious, Vegas is so BIG, than even thought the hotel is just next to us.. it seems like eternity to reach... anyway when we are the ticket box office.. Tickets are all sold out for that night show, recommended us to purchase for the next day show instead. But we didn't do so as we didn't know how long is our Grand Canyon tour..

Luckily we made our way to purchase Phantom tickets in Planet Hollywood shopping mall.. Another super super long walk that almost make me wish that i had bicycle or skates.. LOL

Happily we purchased our tickets, we went back to Bellagio for..... FOOD! The buffet is really good!!!

San Francisco Trip (Day 11) LAS VEGAS!

After 3 days in Disneyland... it's time for us to move on to Las Vegas...

We drove about 4 hours... and along the way, the scenary  isn't consider very nice but something different cos it's all mountiens and sands... Looks dry and feel dry.. Even while driving in a full blast air con on, both Mr Li and I could feel the heat. And the only time i REALLY feel the heat was our toilet break!

The air was sooo dry!!! This mini road trip to Las Vegas make me appreciate cool air in SF and SUNBLOCK cos i got really tanned while im in LV!!!

Before we hit the road, i make sure that Mr Li drive me to a factory outlet for me to shop and luckily my research led me to this outlet in the middle of a really small town before we really hit Las Vegas. And i must brag that the 2nd leg of the ride, Im the DRIVER!! And i could see that Mr Li's brain cells die at least a few millons when i want to hit the signal instead flip the wipper.. (cos in SG the wipper in on our right hand side but in USA it's on the left)

Pretty and nice gel nails..

Being pretty is what a girl knows how to do well!! And as for me, from top to toe have to be pretty...

Sooo vain right! LOL... That's what alot of ppl will say but....

To make myself pretty by giving myself pampering treats is for my reward of my working hard!
Need time and outlet to destress myself!

Haven been doing pedicure for awhile reason is that it always don't last long, espcially if i have to get my hands dirty while doing my craft stuffs or just simply doing simple houswork..
My girlfriend who works as a medicurist asked me to try this set of nails.. called... Soft Gel Nails.
Can last for almost 1 mth and the nail will always be super shiny, just like you painted a coat of top coat every single day! hahahah

Missing Cheesecake Factory

Before I went to states for my holiday.. Quite a number of my friends highly recommend me that I MUST try Cheesecake Factory's cheesecake!

I make sure that when i plan my itinerary, we must visit Cheesecake Factory!! 

So on my 2nd day at San Francisco... Mr Li drive me to Macy's where they have a Cheesecake Factory resturant! It's located right on the top level of Macy's building. If one were to seated outside.. you could see the view of Union Square..

We were very lucky too when we stay in Anaheim... Just next to our hote is Anaheim Garden Walk..
And Cheesecake Factory is just next door to us. So on our last night in Anaheim. I told Mr Li that we must eat Cheesecake Factory again!!!!

If i have the choice, i would like to taste all the cakes!! Too bad there isn't any cheesecake factory in Singapore. Even Secret Recipe's cakes also can't fight with Cheesecake Factory!
