Mini Getaway @ Grand Lexis, Port Dickson (Part II)

Our first night at Port Dickson was simply chilling out.

We hit the pool once we had our lunch.. swim and float around.
Went out to explore the hotel area. Had a bird's eye view of the place than we had our dinner at the  Duyang Restuarnt. I would only rate this restaurant 2 stars out of 5. Their staff service is really good but the food is just so-so...

And since we had 1 night FOC dinner for 2.. we can't complain much!

Mini Getaway @ Grand Lexis, Port Dickson

 

Finally my vacation is over.

Weather at KL is really bad.. it's one moment sunny than the next moment rainy.. But still we managed to enjoy our self despite it's bad weather.

Day 1 - 25th Oct 2011

We embark our journey to KL. Booked our flight from Airasia. It's both our first time taking airasia (But it's bf's first time taking flight, he's so worried that he will get flight fear..) Seriously we think that the que of baggage drop is way too long. But still we manage to have a smooth check in and immediately went straight into the departure area.

Bf wanted to take a look at the duty free stuffs, que again is long... because those PRC kept asking the counter girls tons of questions and when they paid.. they used different currency. Haiz..

We were almost late for our boarding.. the boarding gate is sooooooo far inside. Quickly they have not take off!

Flight duration to KL is really short.. just 45 mins and we reached! KL LCCT is really small and crowded! Guess many passengers both local and foreigners all choose to take budget airline. Anyway I usually have my doubts in budget airline but after taking 2 airlines. I can say their service is almost on par to those normal airlines. Even their take off and landing are all done smoothly! Super!

Our cab driver hasn't arrive yet so we took the chance to quickly grab our lunch and some snacks for our trip. Those who are preparing a trip to Port Dickson, Grand Lexis.. Must remember to pack some snacks / drinks as the resort is situated at a luloo place thus going out to nearby restaurants / supermarket, you got to get the hotel limo or drive out. It's not within walking distance.

And the hotel food is just so-so..

I simply love our room.. with a 4ft in room pool.. huge bed with 32" LCD TV and DVD player... 

Just nice for the 2 of us... a simple getaway.

Photography - My childhood memories

A superback log from my previous photography challenge!

Since young, I've grow up watching Carebear cartoon. I remember that when I was young, I would wake up early on weekend morning, switch on the tv and sit in front watching carebear cartoon and while eating my breakfast. I like it when all the carebear do the "carebear stare"... at that time, all these seems so cute and was wow by it. Now when I watch this cartoon, some might seems abit lame but I still love it nevertheless..

Some of my close friends will know that I do have a collections of the original cast Carebear soft toys. Over these years, they have created many new carebears but my favourite are still Bedtime & Wishbear.
Even my bf now also like to watch carebear with me, even he's the one who commented tat it's lame.

Oh.. he's favourite carebear: Grumpy bear! He claims that Grumpy is different from the rest of the carebar. With dusty blue fur, though he has a grumpy face but he always have a big heart!

New stocks in!

Every Wed or Thursday my after work program are usually a trip down to Plaza Singapura.

Why?

2 main reasons: -

• Because 2 of my favourite scrapbook stores are located at Plaza Singapura.
• My bf is teaching at PZ plus visiting my best friend at work!

So here are my loots:

I've actually control alot of my scrapbook buying impulse. Unlike before whenever i see something that's nice/cute.. I would normally just purchase and than think if i need it or not. But as i grow older and wiser.. and  have been in love with scrapbooking for more than 4 years.. I've learn to be smart!

I would usually purchase tools and stamps online. Cos purchasing it on USA website is so much more cheaper. Even include the shipping from USA to SG is still cheaper.

Usually for papers and other small embellishment, I would usually wait for 40% store wide discount. If there isn't than i will control myself, select those that i would usually used them and use my normal vip discount to purchase them.

Currently if i'm not wrong, Papermarket are having 30% discount for VIP members!! So happy that I managed to grab afew stuffs and have so much greater savings!!

Anyway shopping makes a gal happy...

Addicitve

My scrapbooking cupboard are already filled to its brim.. so in order to replenish more pattern papers and embellishments. I need to scrap more often!

While uploading my photos than I realized that this month, I didn't take much photos at all.. basically just work, home, occasionally meet bf / friends and it's back to work and home again. 

I had just boring life!

But my exciting week is happening this week! I'm taking a week time off from work.. going on a 3D2N beach resort with bf, having a 90 mins outdoor photoshoot that I purchased long time ago from Groupon, having another girls gossip session on the 30th Oct at my friends' place. Can't wait for my life to get out of it's boring cycle!

What I'm missing about??

Ever since I'm a proud owner of iPhone, I've been seriously neglecting my books!

These novels are my usual companion during my train rides... from work, shopping, travel, waiting...
But ever since I own an iPhone, my train rides are usually accompanied by games, videos and more videos...

So while packing my stuffs today.. I come across these books, my favorite romance novels.
These are actually one of the few of my favorites.... I've many other titles that I loved!

Like every other girl, I'm always hoping that someday... I will met a prince charming who can sweep my feet off and live happily ever after... Hmm.. too cliche? Maybe some interesting adventure in between!

But anyway, still these book will be my company for my upcoming holiday trip!

How nice to look at the sea, reading my favorite book and slipping ice tea! Shiok!!
Can't wait for next Tuesday to come fast!

From 26 to 27

In just a month's time, I will be turning to 27 years old.

There are still many stuffs that I've yet to do, learn, experience. So I decided to make a list that I shall try to experience all that's listed before i hit 28 years old.

1. Obtain my driving licence (took me 1.5 years and still haven pass yet even after my 1st attempt)
2. Try b-waxing
3. Learn Yoga
4. Learn baking cakes / cooking
5. Improve my photography skills
6. Visit another new country (Not HK again!)
7. Get my tooth implant done!!

Just my humble list of stuffs to get it done and also some to experience new things...

Ever since I found this company at Tampines Mall, selling good quality false eyelashes.. I've have been their regular to the point that i even become their member.

Was quite sad to found out that they no longer have their pushcart at TM... right now their only outlet is at Ang Mo Kio, which is kinda of out of the way for me.. So now I seldom frequent AMK to do my pedicures cos the package that I have have been completed and me have no intention of continue to sign another package with them.

Anyway, during CNY this year.. I bought 2 boxes of 10 pair eyelashes. So when they are out of TM, I was too bothered. But yesterday when i was down to my very last pair of eyelash. I panicked!! Cos it 1 week time, I going off to my resort holiday and i won't have enough time to rush to AMK to replenish my eyelash!!!

Thank God for world wide web.. As i was online surfing net, searching for some blogs that sells eyelash... i stumble upon my favourite eyelash company's blog!! The best part is.... they allow customers to order online too!!

My scraping Inspiration

Rainy days are always my best source of inspiration to scrap! Because of the nice weather.. I can let my creative jucie flow..

So last weekend, I did these 2 layouts after viewing 2peasinabucket free monthly class. This October theme was stamping. And to those who know, I've 2 trays & 1 big bag of wooden and clear stamps.. so many that are there a few that i've bought ages ago and didn't even use.

So right now, I make it a motto to incorporate stamps in my every layout if possible. Hahaha... ^_^
That way my stamps will be so much cost effective.

As I always fancy simple and clear cut design thus all my layouts are always very simple. Don't have alot of layering. Just simple and nice.

Beauty: Biore Hydra Clear Make Up remover

I've been reading alot of good reviews from many beauty blooger about this Biore Hydra Clear Makeup remover.

For me, I ususally use Clinque's eye make up remover to remove my mascara and also any glue residue from my falsh eyelash and any eye shawdow. So far, I'm quite happy with Clinque's eye make up remover as it always remove most of my eye makeup quite effiecently. Only on those few ocassion where I've alot of "stubborn" glue residue that refuse to be remove....

But now this Hydra Clear Makeup remover solve my problems!!

So there's my daily rountine of removing my makeup

1) Remove my eyelash
2) Use Clinque EyeMakeup Remover (Blue Bottle) to remove mascara, concealer and glue residue
3) Use Hydra Clear Makeup remover, pour about $0.50 coin size on your plam, on your dry face, start to massage and you can feel like your makeup are starting to dissolve
4) Use Kiehl's Rare Earth cleanser to cleanse my face.

Previously I didn't have step 3, now i can feel that my face are much more cleanse and lesser bumps or white heads / milia seeds!!

Furthermore, I bought this from an tolietries shop, Venus.
This Biore Hydra Cleanser only cost me SG$17.90!!! Wah, a savings of $3!! =)
** Cheapskate me** But who cares!!! Cos i get to save from shopping and that's every ladies goal!

Sneezing away.....

I've been sneezing and sneezing the whole day.. thought that it's just BF's blanket that causes me to sneeze like mad but i think it's me that's falling sick... lack of Vit C...

Urgh!! Can't afford to fall sick when i have important report to run tomolo... Haiz...................... So I'm going to bed really early tonight.

Anyway I'm taking my work life really slow.. don't want to cause myself so much stress because....

I'm counting down to my Port Dickson trip in 23 days!! Yeah!!

It's my first getaway with BF.. Everything is going to be relaxing and fun!

We just booked our air tickets via Airasia.... and pre reserved our hotel room. The trickiest part will be the transportation from KL to PD. Hopefully we can get everything done smoothly!
