Had enjoyable time in Hongkong and loved their shopping.
But a word of cautious, do NOT plan to go shopping in Hongkong over the weekends.. it's super crowded espcially at those streets like (Ladies Market & Temple Streets)!! And you'll get pushed by all the locals that you don't even have the mood to shop at all.
So I've learned by lessons (cos all my previous trip to Hongkong is usually on weekdays, had even encounter a weekend in HK).
Ok... Here's my recount of the day..
- Depart at 640am via Jetstar Asia in Changi Airport..
- Arrival at 1040am in HK International Airport
- Took Cityflyer bus A22 to Largos Hotel.
Count 4 stops including the one taken from airport.. Bus will arrive in front of the hotel.. Just walk less than 2 mins, you'll see the hotel!
I love Largos Hotel's location. It's very near the MTR (Jordan Exit B2) and right in front of bus stops, 7-11 stores. so to compensae for the small hotel room size... one can't complain much..
There isn't much to shop around the hotel..
The area is quite safe for females traveller to roam around even late at night...
- Went to Austrailan Dairy Company for lunch.. had to que for quite abit but very fast we got our space. As usual, me need to share table with the locals and it's really really pack on weekends!
Nice wanton mee next door |
And after we settle our empty stomach...we went straight to shopping!!!
Like i said it's crowded so i didn't purchase much.. If im going to HK again, i won't choose weekend! I would go back on weekdays, much easiler to shop..
Start off with Fa Yuen Street - Mongkok Station Exit B2 |
On our way to Argyle Centre - Mongkok Station D2 |
Cheaper than SG |
Hui Lau Shan - a mango dessert that can never be missed! |
Ladies Market |
My loots for the day |
Managed to get a wedge heels, bags, earrings and tee for my brother. A keychain for B..
