Hongkong & Macau Trip 2012 : Day 1

I've been back from my fruitful holiday trip almost a week.. and I'm starting to miss Hongkong! This trip is basically just a shopping and eating trip! But we managed to add in 1 day trip to Macau.

Intiatly we booked Jetstar flight @ 6.40am but was rescheduled to 10.45am flight. Kinda of wasted half a day. But what to do!? When we book this flight at such great deal... @ $250 per pax (Jetstar take a friend for free promotion)

When we reached HK airport, we waited almost 30mins for our luggage.. once we retrieve our luggage, we straightaway to purchased 3HK prepaid sim card.. will die without mobile internet for 4days!!

Shorten my rumblings... a pictures worth a thousands words..
*Heavy Pic Post*

My luggage before all my shopping loots

My traveling kaki...

At Hongkong Airport, while waiting for my luggage. Took us 30 mins to retrieve our luggage!

Finally!

A must purchase SIM card when you touch down HK!
With the 3HK sim card, walking around HK is a breeze! Cos with GPS, we won't get lost! I can stay in contact my with fiance @ SG... at the same time check my emails and post my pictures on facebook and twitter!

Took bus A21 from Airport to our hotel.. Metropark Mongkok that is near Prince Edward MTR station, exit C2. Hmm.. i won't say that it's just round the corner. Got to walk ard 2 mins to reach the MTR station via the hotel's back door!

Wasn't that prepare for Hongkong to be that hot in the begining of May!

Our hotel room for the stay! Its small in size, but everything is really clean! What I love best from this hotel is it's service! 1 little hipcup.. that got be worried from the plane to hotel... which is! I left my luggage keys at home when I left for Changi Airport! N I didn't even realized it until I was flying half way! Got all worried and panicked! S keep reassured me that hotel ppl will be able to break open the lock!

So right after I'm done with my payment for the hotel, I quickly checked with the hotel's bellboy.. they managed to break open the lock for me!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was over the moon when i heard that the locked was break open! So I quickly tip the guy who helped me to break open my lock and carry my luggage up to my room for me! And we also realised that our room has only 1 power plug! But we need to charge both our phones and camera batteries. So we called again to ask for power adapter plug, which they send it to us within 5 mins! Great service!!

A full length mirror! Great!! Love it!

Didn't get to try this double skin milk pudding after reading so much raves from other bloggers. This time I finally get the chanced to try! Yummy!! I could eat this everyday!

Best combination: Polo Bun & Milk Tea

These are the best polo buns that I've ever tried! It's from Kam Wah cafe.. These buns are always snap up once there are out from the oven! The cocktail bun are good too! Didn't try in this time round though...
To me, I feel that their food portion are really huge so it's just nice for 2 of us to share that plate of noodle!

Address:
G/F, 47 Bute Street, Prince Edward
太子弼街47號地下
Exit from Prince Edward MTR Station B2

Really miss Hongkong while I'm writing about this post! Wish I can go back again but I must be discipline cos I've to save lots for my upcoming wedding!

Should stop there and post what I purchased from Hongkong during my 1st day!!

Stay tune!

Xoxo,
Felicia

Post Hongkong Trip 2010 - Day 2 ~ Lantau Island + Citygate

After a gloomy and rainy day in Hongkong, here is my 2nd day recount of my HK trip.

- Went to Kam Wah Cafe 金華冰廳  at Prince Edward
Famous for their Polo Bun & Egg Tarts..
And their Polo Bun is sooooo good that i wish i can fly back to HK again to have a bite of their polo bun...

Kam Wah Cafe is located right on the busy Bute Street, which can easily be spotted due to the crowds outside the restaurant taking away the delicious Polo Buns and other pastries.
How to get there: MTR Prince Edward, Exit B3
Since it's a Sunday, it's usually crowded with their local people and it's a common practice to share table.

The best polo bun i've even tasted!!!!

Whole set of breakfast just cost me HK$28

My morning can't do without - Milk Tea!

-Next we went to Lantau Island to view the big Buddha, after spending about 2hrs ++ to purchase the cable ticket and to board the cable car... I finally reach Lantau Island, Ngong Ping Village at about 3.30 - 4pm...
Make our way to climb the long flight of stairs to view the Buddha.. many people say that if one were to look carefully, it seems that the Buddha has close his eyes not wanting to see how evil we human beings are...

Although many hours was spent queing up, but the trip to Ngong Ping Village is really enlightening.. Especially 1 of the show that is included in the package.. Walk with the Budhha..

End of the show, we were brought to this place, can't remember the full name.. but something Wisdom.. N one of the quotes were..

"In this world, hatred is never overcome by hatred.
Only tolerance can prevail over hatred, This is an enternal truth"
So off we went to que up to take the cable car back to Tung Chung station.. again it's another 1hr to board the cable car .. and the whole journey take about 25 mins.. But the night view was great and it could be better if that day's weather wasn't soo foggy.

Didn't purchase any bags in the Citygates Outlets.. Just 2 tops from Espirit..
Although the price at outlet compare to Singapore's boutique are much cheaper than after i've been to the outlets in States. I still find those that are selling in states are soo much cheaper.. So maybe i shall start saving $$ again for another trip to USA!

Right after Citygates, we went back to our hotel for a short refresh. From Tung Chung MTR to alight at Lai King to change mtr to Jordan. Hongkong's MTR are really so convientiant.

After a short re-charge at our hotel room, we went to venture Temple's Street... and of cos Da Pang Dong!

My loots for the day
