Handmade with love

As such as my friends around me knows, I love to do crafts and scrapbooks.

So for my wedding i definitely won't miss these details and there are some of the crafts that I've done for my own wedding.

Finally I managed to purchase the wooden hangers with the notch at the side at Daiso (Vivocity) and it comes in a pack of $2. So I got for $2 for 2 wooden hangers!! (^_^v)

I've been drooling over those wired personalized hangers that Esty stores are selling. But a pity, because they are station in USA and the shipping fees to international is charged quite high. At least S$25, same as the hanger price.

That's the reason why I'm very relented to order. Almost a $45 hanger with my names. That's propably gonna for 1 shot in my whole actual day wedding photography. I give it a missed and decide to DIY myself.

I intially wanted to use my crystals and stick Mr Lee & Mrs Lee on the respective hangers but my crystals size are too small. So luckily I had a pack of new font stickers that has glitter on it. And viola!

Beside the bracelet corsages that I've ordered for my bridesmaids.. these are the ikea frames that I've altered for them. It's pretty simple and not so fancy cos I'm not use if there are gonna like it. I've total of 6 bridesmaid which 3 will help me out in the morning and 3 in the evening.

These pinwheels are meant for my guest tables. Each pinwheel will indicate my guest's name for will be placed at the tables that they are seated at. Cos I'll be having at least 80 guests.. so I will need my bridesmaids help!

At the same time we can plan to have some girly chat! (^_^v)

I got this inspired by Pinterest!! I'm so into pinterest esp the wedding section. Really gives me alot of idea to deco my wedding venue!

Currently it's down to 2 months and 10 days to my wedding!!

Our little Date

It's so rare that we can go on a whole day date because Mr Lee is always teaching on weekends. So I don't have to work on weekends.

So our dating time is always weekdays evening where I'll meet Mr Lee for awhile for dinner... or Friday / Saturday night sleep over.

Yesterday, Mr Lee needs to attend a guitar masterclass and guitar concert in the evening so he canceled his class thus we have the whole day to date.

Received my new keys - keys to Mr Lee's house
Yesteday Mr Lee's mother made me another set of keys to their house. Cos when I sleep over and the next day when Mr Lee have to teach, he will leave his keys with me and I have to hide it somewhere near this front door. Now I don't have to!! =)

We were walking around Marina Square / Esplanade area cos Mr Lee attended a guitar masterclass with a Japanese guitarist from Yamaha Japan. So while he attends the class, I had a good chat with my ex colleagues and teachers..

We eat and play arcade, do a little window shopping... and head out to Esplanade outdoors to chill and enjoy the weather.. it was nice cos the clouds seems dark and cloudy... just before it starts to rain super heavy, we went back inside to Esplanade.

I'm not very familar with guitar music but seeing Tommy Emmanuel playing and Mr Lee draws inspirations from Tommy & Martin Taylor... I feel bliss cos I'll always have beautiful music surrounding me..

One of the perks to be married to a musician! (^_^v)

Have a great weekend!

Quote of the day

Many couples who are planning their wedding at certain point of time will get frustrated with each other. Be a guest lists, budgets, flower decoration. Marriage will only work if 2 ppl willing to compromise.

I may have my argument with Mr Lee. But I try not to take things for granted. He has given me alot of things that I want for this wedding thus I decided not to neglect him and asked him to inform Pastor Amos to have prayers including during our solemnization.

I may not be a christian and I know that at this point of time I won't change my faith. Since Mr Lee can't have a church wedding and I can give him this bit.

No harm done. We will have double the blessings. From our parents and God.

Did I also mention that I'm so full of love for Mr Lee? Heheheh..

Weekend is coming! (^_^v)

S.T.R.E.S.S

Planning a wedding is seriously a very stressful event. I salute wedding planners!! How can they handle weddings and bridezilla almost every other day!

Last weekend, we met up with Mr Lee's pastor.. Pastor Amos from Care Community Church to be our JP on our solemnization. I'm not sure of other JPs, but Pastor Amos "sort of" asked us to go for a brief marriage preparation course.

To him, wedding is just an event. But marriage is for life so basically the course that he suggested us to do was a 150 questionnaires. Both couple have to answer separately and than a report will be churn out. Than from there, he will see which area we are low at, (eg, communication, budgeting... etc) and help us on it. All these for a low sum of $30. But we have yet to do the questionnaires yet. sooo... let's see how.

Meyson Jewellery - where we purchase our wedding bands!

Over the weekends, we also bought out wedding bands! I finally found one ring that can match with my engagement ring very well! And luckily we purchase it early, cos Mr Lee's finger is on a smaller size thus they don't have ready stock and need to resize. So I'm waiting for them to contact me to collect his ring.. I'm so in love with my wedding ring and Mr Lee likes his too..

I'm still waiting for my pre wedding album to arrive.... should received it by tomorrow! Hopefully everything is good as the proof that i saw... *keeping my finger cross*

I've settled my bridesmaid bracelet corsages! Order the corsages from Le FairyMedow. Her works are beautiful! Waiting to see the end product by end of this month! (^_^v)
It will also be part of my gift to them for helping me on my big day! Without my gfs around, I think I will go crazy with so much planning to do.. Le Fairymedow lets you customize your corsages so mine doesn't look like this but similar!

Of cos, the groomsmen.. I DIY their boutonnieres! In bright cheerful colours to match the bridesmaid's dresses..

Went to Chinatown today to purchase the back pin to glue to the boutonnieres...
Can't wait to pass it to the guys! Haha...

So my next project will my DIY flowers for reception tables and also DIY gifts for all of my bridesmaids!

Taking as much chance to scrap and altered art to destress!!

Wedding Preparation: March In Song

March in song to some brides means alot and to some it's just a song.. but to me, it's quite meaningful!

Initially I wanted to march in to Christine's " A Thousand Years".

I know that this song is written for Edward & Bella's wedding scene in Twlight. I feel that the lyrics is very touching but some how Mr Lee don't like! So I have to search for another song.

And the next song that came to me is "The Look of Love"

The look of love
Is in your eyes
The look your heart can't disguise
The look of love
Is saying so much more
Than just words could ever say
And what my heart has heard
Well it takes my breath away

I can hardly wait to hold you
Feel my arms around you
How long I have waited
Waited just to love you
Now that I have found you

You've got the look of love
It's on your face
A look that time can't erase
Be mine tonight
Let this be just the start
Of so many nights like this
Let's take a lover's vow
And then seal it with a kiss

I can hardly wait to hold you
Feel my arms around you
How long I have waited
Waited just to love you
Now that I have found you
Don't ever go

I can hardly wait to hold you
Feel my arms around you
How long I have waited
Waited just to love you
Now that I have found you
Don't ever go
Don't ever go
I love you so

There are so many versions of this song but I wanted a really jazzy feel so i decided on this! I can't wait to hear this song being played during the sound check and also on the actual day!

Photo Canvas

After we got our photos from Melody of Oh,dear! Photography..

We have been deciding which photo to blow up and print as canvas. After much thought, we decided to print the one that we took at Garden By the Bay.. I search online for many canvas print shop and found Brilliant Print. They have this guareente that if you change your mind, you can change to print another photo without additional cost!

Brilliant Print is so efficient too, I received my canvas within 3 working days after i placed my order! Thumb up!

I super love this picture! Somehow Melody managed to capture our blissful love.

Another picture that I super love is the one that we took at the Falls inside cloud forest... so i decided to print it out as 8r size photo, but somehow the photo couldn't fit the frame. And I happened to stubble upon a diy blog that has a post on DIY photo canvas!

I bought a 8'x10' canvas from Spotlight and Modge Podge glue (matte)...

Steps to do

1) paint modge podge glue thinly on the canvas
2) paint modege podge glue on the photo, place it on the canvas and smooth it to ensure that there is no air bubbles.
3) paint modge podge to the side of the canvas, wait for it to dry and paint black paint to paint.
4) Need at least 2-3 coats of black paint.
5) thinly apply glue to the photo. It will gives a a matte look. Can skip this step if you fancy, gloss look.

Now I have another photo canvas to place it at my reception table!
