Whats like to be a mother?

Now that I'm a mother to Dani.. I often felt guilty for leaving her with a nanny and scoot myself off to work on weekdays. I am also consume with guilt whenever I leave her with the nanny on certain Saturdays while I have that little "Me" time for myself.

Sometime the guilty feeling is super bad especially when its time to fetch Danielle and the moment she sees me, her face lit up with a super bright toothless smile, super excited with her legs kicking and arms lifted up, just can't wait for me to carry her!!

But being a mother brings me indescribable joy when my daughter smile at me the first thing she wakes up. Calls me "mama". The only person that could give her comfort and make her stop crying!

I often wonder if I should switch my full time work to part time? But my dilemma starts... I can't live with myself not having that power of earning a decent pay cheque. I can't see myself, waiting patiently each month for my hub to give me that certain amount for house expenses.

I ever thought of doing things that I love.. I toyed with the idea of being a freelance natural light photographer. But my skills aren't quite there yet. So is my photo editing skills. But there is a soft voice in my heart that says... "Someday, I will do what I love." I do hope that someday I have to courage to work towards my dream!

Oooh.. I've just realised that I'm turning to big 3 in just 2 days time!!! And I managed to do my nails for the first time after I've given birth!!

Uber cute, Mickey & Minnie Mouse gelish nail art!
Managed to take leave on my birthday and I've plan some real leisure treats for myself!!

Right now, its' time for me to hit the sack!

Chasing after your Dreams

Guess as a mother now, I've different sets of priority. Things that was once my basic monthly or half yearly pampering is now an indulgence.

Things like doing my hair, nails, brows and occasionally spa massages. Well, these are my indulgence now cause I can't spare the time to do all these now. If I wanna do my beauty treatments, I gotta find time, take leave from work or place Danielle with her nanny. But I am still thankful that her nanny is always available to help me.. At least I have that 10% time to myself.

Aside all these little beauty treatments that I treat myself.. 1 thing that I've always wanted to do is

TO TRAVEL ALONE!

Yes, so far.. I've only travel alone to states to meet my ex bf. So basically the traveling from Singapore to San Francisco, I'm alone. But to travel and set foot in a country alone, I've yet to do so.

It's my little wishlist that I can do that. I always wanted to go somewhere for 3 week - 6 weeks, immersed myself in the countries' sight and couture. Live like the local ppl do and maybe take some short courses here and there.

See, when I have the time.. I don't have the guts and money to do so. And when I've the money and guts, I can't leave my daughter without her mother for so long.

Guess its always good to live your dreams while you can.. before other commitments tie you down.
And as for me, I guess I can only live my dreams when my daughter is older and maybe if financially and time allows, I might even get my hubs and her along to fulfilled my dreams and my husband too (that's if we are thinking of the same thing along the same line).

Someday... I will be like this picture above.. Sitting in the tub with a glass of sparkling wine in my hand and ponder... that I've achieved my dreams..

It's time for us to dream big and pen it down so that 1 day you can actually strike off and say, I've done what I've dream!! Fighting!!

Have a great week ahead!

When dreams came true..

Recently my gf since Secondary School has finally turn her dream into reality! And I cannot be more happy for her!

She has been working as a manicurist for the longest time I've know her and all those fabulous nail design that you saw on all my previous post are all done by her. Even my pre wedding and wedding day nails are all done by her.

Do support my gf's shop and like her FB page! More details on the facebook page, Le Nail Boudoir.

Tgt with gf, S.
And it's such a small world, I bump into my ex colleague! She is the one in blue dress!

And so, talking about dreams turning into reality. I have my dreams in check but I have yet to turn it into reality because I have too much on my plate currently. But I have taken 1 little step..

My friend suggested to me to get useful on weekends as I always complain that I'm soooo free that I just eat, watch tv, play with fat cat, eat more and watch more Tvs on weekends. And she mention that she will be having a flea sale on the next long weekend, asked me to accompany her and also at the same time, do some of my crafty stuffs to try to see if it's sellable.

This paper flower bouquet is something that I'm inspired to do. I wonder if there is any brides to be out there that is interested to have a little something from their wedding that will last a lifetime?

My little progress of the bold colours bouquet. I've many other variations. Let's see how this will work into...

Wish me luck!
