Fernvale Lea ~ Jan 2014 updates

As I've mention tons of time before.. after since I shifted to Bukit Panjang... I don't have much chance to visit our new flat site to check out on it's progress....

So I heavily relied on Facebook and this kind soul's blog to check out on the updates.

Above picture is taken from a kind soul who updated on the FB group that my block (469B) has started to intstall the windows on the 2nd level.

Seems like its' quite a fast progress.. however recently I heard from news that our BTO exercise has a fatal accident.

A foregin worker fall to his death while working.. and I got pretty worried and wonder it is because the developer wants to complete its project in its shortest time and negelected it's workers' safetly and if they are lucky, no fatal causalites... consumers like us will receied inferior goods???

Haiz.. I think it's difficult to please both side. As a young family, I wish that my flat will arrive house.

Cause it's no joke living with my in laws and my hubby has 4 other siblings.

We are just pure lucky that 2 of his other siblings doens't live in Singapore. If not, how to house so many of us???~

Anyway, CNY is coming so I should cut short my gumpiness on this and be thankful of what I have.

Since we know that our flat might be arriving early.. i started to source for inspiration....

Here are some of the pictures that I've collected so far...

This is how i envision our corridor... White walls with black doors and frame.
Super love the cement screed floor titles.

At first, we wanted to do just cement screed floor titles, did my research online and realised that after while, the floor will crack.

So this is our next alternative. Cement Screed Like Ttiles!

The moment we ballot our flat, choosen a unit. He said to me that he wants to have a bar counter.
So I saw him this.. and he say, YES! This is what I want!! Hahaha

Know that I most likely can't have a room just for walk in wardrode.. but it would be nice to have this mini walk in wardroe in our room... ^_^

Love the kitchen light bulbs!!

Will slowly update my mood board for more inspiration on home renovation!

Seriously I can't wait for my flat to arrive..

Just another 1.5 years to go!! Jia you!!!

I'm not sure of the rest of the working adults out are having the same or had the same problem as me.

We live paycheque to paycheque....

Well... I admit, I'm very lacking in the Savings Dept.. thus it's my Year 2013 resolutions to save $$$.
In order to do that, I have to shop less, spend less, don't take cabs or eat out often and clear my debts!!

I know it's going to be difficult and tough! But I have the determination to do it!

I know that it's a healthy benchmark to save at least 20% of your pay as savings each month... but knowing that I have some other stuffs that I will need to clear... I have plan to start off with 10% for 6 months, 15% for another 6 months and every 6 months increase by 5%. I have to do it!!!!

Maybe I should next of a way to increase my source of income?

Hmm....

Jia you every one!!

Fruitful day @ Vivo

Didn't have any programs on today... wanted to meet up with my gf to celebrate her upcoming birthday but was canceled as 1 of my gf can't make it...

So I went to Vivocity from Mr Lee's house as I have already pre registered myself for the TNP wedding planner show.. The main motive for me to go there is to gather more quotations on the hotel venue pricing.
Intended to check out Amara Hotels only but ended up asking quotes from Changi Village Hotel & Royal Park on Scotts.

Initially I love the amara sanctuary's feel but when it comes down to the location, isn't really very convenience cos it's inside Sentosa.. Amara Singapore price is also quite reasonable.. but as for the food arrangement, think it's going to be quite troublesome as its No pork No lard.. Planning to invite a hand few of my malay friends.. so it's not a very good idea.

Royal park on scotts is quite good.. Menu is halal, prices are in NETT... Location is good too.. @ Orchard Road. 5 mins walk from the MRT station.

Changi Village is another idea venue. Love it that it's near the seaside. But the location is kinda far... prices are also quite reasonable...

Well, guess we will just shortlist these 2 hotels. When it's nearer to this year end than we shall decide which hotel is  good!!

Oh.. my trip to Vivo is fruitful! Besides, hotel venue shopping. I went shopping for dresses! And i manged to purchased 1 for my pre weds causal shoot! Yeah!! ^^

Some interesting home accessories from Franc Franc @ Vivocity!!
Too bad my house will only be ready in 3 years time, if not I would have purchased afew items!!!
I love their sofas! Simple and clean design!
