Wedding Highlights (Part 2)

Part 2 of the Wedding Highlights...

For this wedding, I did quite a number of DIY but due to some reasons, I didn't bring the Guest's name pinwheels.

Enjoy the pictures from One Eye Click. Photographer: Julien

If you're holding your solemnization at the Glass Pavilion, there is this special bell for couples to ring. Not sure the age of this bell, but it has been blessed up many couples before us. A special little highlight.

Good things must share!

As usual, while checking my emails I will always check out the newletters sent by Groupon, Deals, SG deals and etc for really good deal and i chance upon this!!

Recently I received my AD photos from my photographer! Love the pictures and I really have no regrets spending that extra $$$ for a really good AD photographer! One Eye Click are really worth the money!

Okay back to my deal.. I saw this and I was telling myself what a good timing! I was hoping to see another deal for this photobook as I intend to design one for AD. Like the one that I did for my Pre Wed album..

Bought the deal immediately and can't wait to start to do my design!!

CNY is coming!!
This year I've purchased all my clothing from blogshop, Love Bonitio!

Shall post about my CNY goodies on the next post!

Have a great weekend!

Wedding Preparation: Collections of Cert

It's a day before our wedding!! Can't imagine time passes by sooo fast!

Today we had our appointment to collect our marriage certs at ROM. Though according to old folks tales that bride & groom aren't supposed to meet each other like 2 weeks before the wedding and some say 1 day before. But we don't really "pang dang" so we went ahead to collect our cert and get ready all the last min preparations.

It's a little bit gan cheong when our turning is getting near... but all is well! And we have to do this tiny oath of declarations.. Mr Lee so gan cheong that he couldn't pronounce some of the words correctly.. Heheehhe

Today is such a busy day for us & weather isn't very great. Has been pouring since early afternoon.. hopefully tomorrow weather will be fine for us...

Have a great day!!

Wedding preparations: Pre wed jitters??!

I guess most brides will have this pre wedding jitters. It's not about whether you made the right choice of marrying the man because you will know this the moment you're together...

For me, It's my ONLY big day. I cannot allow mistakes! So things have to run smoothly and I've informed all my bridesmaid to play by ear on that day and luckily our wedding is a small scale one.

I happened to come across this US wedding website.. and they have a post about having a small weddings and what they wrote is exactly how I feel!

So there is the 10 reasons to have a small wedding

Words and Image from: intimateweddings

1. You get to celebrate one of the biggest days of your life surrounded by people who love you.
2. You can feel more relaxed on your wedding day. Because you’ll be surrounded by friends and family, you’ll feel more at home with your guests. Your wedding will feel more like a celebration with close-knit friends and family, than a production.
3. You can save money. (For us as it's a small scale wedding, unlike those couples with 20 - 30 tables... our wedding dinner bill doesn't cost us so much)
4. You can splurge. Some couples choose a small guest list not necessarily because their budgets are small, but because they can pull out all the stops and have a truly lavish wedding. You get more ‘wow’ for less wallet with a small wedding. When you’ve got fewer guests, you can splurge on the things that really matter to you.  ( For me, it's PHOTOGRAPHY! I've loved One Eye's Click works and Mr Lee is sooo good to me that he actually hire them for our Actual Day shoot!!)
5. You have more options when choosing a venue. Since you won’t need a large space to accommodate your guests, many small wedding venues will be open to you. A smaller guest list means more creative venue options like bed and breakfasts, museums, art galleries and restaurants.  (Yes!! Precisely . We choose a semi -outdoor venue with buffet dinner...)
6. You have more freedom to customize your wedding to your own tastes. A small wedding gives you the opportunity to get your creative juices flowing and make your unique wedding a reflection of the two of you. (I've done lots of DIY!!)
7. You get to spend time with your guests. How many weddings have made you feel like a stranger fulfilling a social obligation? Small weddings aren’t like that. When the guest list is small, the bride and groom can spend time with each of their guests, making them feel welcome.
8. You can make your guests feel at home. Because you will be able to spend at least some time with your guests, they will feel more at home at your wedding. Also, when the guest list is small, guests will have a better opportunity to mingle with most of the others. Chances are that many of your guests will know one another.
9. You can get your guests involved. A small wedding will give you the opportunity to get your loved ones involved in your special day. Also, it’s a lot easier pulling off a DIY wedding with a guest list under 75, than a big scale production.
10. You can have a wedding that people will remember. Because your wedding won’t be typical – the kind your guests have been to over and over again – your wedding is more likely to be remembered.

It's just another 2 more days to our wedding!!
Hope everything will run smoothly and last but not least, WEATHER!! Pls! Be good to us!

Thank you!!

Wedding Preparations: Counting down!

Some people say time flies when you're in love and busy.. Yes!

Both Mr Lee & I are very much in love and we are soo busy with our work and also wedding preparations.

We are now down to 8 days till our wedding!!

Currently I still have these items outstanding which I'm going to get it done soon!!

1) The most frustrating - Guest Seating Arrangement.
This is really very "headache" cos the guests that I invited, mostly they know each other. But I still have to seat them according. I really wish it's a free seating thing. Haiz..
What's even better?? People don't RSVP back to us.

2) Some final DIY touches - Guest's place cards (Pin wheels)
Cos I haven't decided on their seating arrangement, so I couldn't write their name and table number on the pinwheel. Haiz.

3) Shifting my stuffs over to Mr Lee's place
This is kinda of difficult to do it cos I'm not suppose to meet Mr Lee for 2 weeks after we have done our GDL.. but we still meet each other secretly..

4) Wedding Walk in Playlist
We have already chosen our songs for walk in.. so now we have to burn it in a disc. This should be easy! Heheh

Just to share some of the DIY stuffs that I do for my wedding..

A personalizaed hanger for Mr Lee & myself.

A DIY photo frame for all my Bridesmaids

10 Commandments of Love - which we both have to sign when Mr Lee is here for his gatecrash

Paper Dollies with Love - to be tied around the 2 trees in front of Glass Pavilion together with our photos

I did a total of 14 paper rosettes of different sizes, meant for decorations. Which I will leave it up to my bridesmaids to decorate.

As mention in my previous blog post. I will having a DIY photobooth - so these are all the props that I've prepare!

Last but not least.. My DIY paper rosette flowers. Which I will place it at the reception table together with my album...

I hope the decorations will turn up as how I imagine...

I almost forgotten to blog about this! The solemnization package that we sign up with Amara Sanctuary has 2 florists for us to choose. I check out their facebook pages and I love this decorations.

All this images are taken from Sing See Soon's facebook page.

So I met up with Rachelle from Sing See Soon to discuss about my decorations for the Glass Pavilion.
And I told her that I prefer a rustic decorations and my wedding theme is Rustic/Vintage & Whimsical...

So she will help me to add some other flowers beside gerberas... I can't wait to see the final results of the flowers on that day!!

Right now, this bride to be is going to chill and relax and pamper myself. This week is going to be a busy week for me as I'll go for my eyebrow shaping, mani & pandi appointments!

Have a great week & Merry Christmas!

Felicia
