Fruitful day @ Vivo

Didn't have any programs on today... wanted to meet up with my gf to celebrate her upcoming birthday but was canceled as 1 of my gf can't make it... 

So I went to Vivocity from Mr Lee's house as I have already pre registered myself for the TNP wedding planner show.. The main motive for me to go there is to gather more quotations on the hotel venue pricing.

Intended to check out Amara Hotels only but ended up asking quotes from Changi Village Hotel & Royal Park on Scotts.

Initially I love the amara sanctuary's feel but when it comes down to the location, isn't really very convenience cos it's inside Sentosa.. Amara Singapore price is also quite reasonable.. but as for the food arrangement, think it's going to be quite troublesome as its No pork No lard.. Planning to invite a hand few of my malay friends.. so it's not a very good idea. 

Royal park on scotts is quite good.. Menu is halal, prices are in NETT... Location is good too.. @ Orchard Road. 5 mins walk from the MRT station.

Changi Village is another idea venue. Love it that it's near the seaside. But the location is kinda far... prices are also quite reasonable...

Well, guess we will just shortlist these 2 hotels. When it's nearer to this year end than we shall decide which hotel is  good!!

Oh.. my trip to Vivo is fruitful! Besides, hotel venue shopping. I went shopping for dresses! And i manged to purchased 1 for my pre weds causal shoot! Yeah!! ^^

1st day

Today,I'm starting my first day of work at my new work place..

That kind of feelings where you have to learn everything all over again, make new friends and adapt to new environment!

Mixed Feelings

Soon.. I'm going to leave my current company to venture another greener pasture.

It's mixed feelings for me cos I've been working here for most of my adult life. Starting since i'm 21 years old. This year I decide it's time for me to move on. Sad yet at the same time I'm happy to start a new career journey.

Working here for close to 7 years, I've known many wonderful colleagues who had become very close friends. We shop, gossip, chit chat and work together..

At this company, I hit many milestones in my life. Met the ONE right guy in my life.. Travelled to USA and HK with the bonuses that I saved up. Met a handfew of friends that are going to stay close to my heart. Learn many life experiences from my colleagues that you will never get to learn in School.

By end of this month, my journey with Yamaah ends. But my new career journey at my new company starts. I hope that I'm able to adapt well to the new change and also meet more new colleagues.

I hope when it's my last day... I won't cry!!

Too expensive!

Almost a month back, I posted on FB that I super love this dress that I found on Pinterest.

At that time, the person who pin the picture didn't indicate where she found the dress... and it was till yesterday nigh when i was surfting thru pinterest, someone indicate where to find the dress!!

Click the link that was provided and I was so happy!!! But the price tag made me hesistant to purchase!!

It cost US$550!!!! After the conversion rate, it's close to SG$ 700++ and that hasen't include shipping plus GST! Haiz..

Many of my friends sugguest that I tailor.. but I doubt it will be the same.. looking at it, there many beadings on the bodice! Which means alot of hand sewing..

Thought that if the price is around SG$300, i could purchase it and where it for my pre wed photoshoot and maybe my tea dress! Haiz!

Lazy..

Each morning I just have a hard time getting up.  I wonder if it's because I'm tired or that I just plain lazy??!!

Hmmm I doubt it's lazy cos each morning when I wake up. I wish that I can sleep more.

Need to change my lifestyle n sleep early.

Dateout at the Zoo!!

This month, Bf don't have to teach at Primary School as it's sch holidays.. so he say, let's go to the Zoo on a weekend!

I was like, YEAH!!! Cos it has been a super super long time since I step food into the Zoo.. Guess close to 15 years. Hahahahahaha...

We really had fun at the zoo even though the weather is bad... starting pouring when we reach there! And we were kinda of sian to see such long que at the ticketing office. Haiz, almost wanted to turn back and go home  but Bf say let's have KFC for lunch than see how's the que later. True enough the que almost half gone..

So here we go... A date at the Zoo!!

I wonder why Singapore Zoo has so many monkeys... every where i go, I see proboscis monkey!

Anyway, after a day a the zoo we were both super tired but we had fun!

So the next place for a day of fun filled date will be USS!!

Actually I have yet to set food into USS. Hope I won't be disappointed after I have been to the one at Hollywood, LA...

Memorable event... 9/6/2012

Yesterday (Sat) was my last official event that I have to do for my company... though it's an annual event but this year's it's has special meaning.. beside myself.. another 2 more of my colleagues also "graduated" from the company.. These 2 colleagues, I've been working with them the moment I start my career at Yamaha.. and it's been close to 8 years since I've known them..

Fun and crazy....

One thing about leaving for a greener pasture is not I'll sorely miss these wonderful colleagues who have given me guidance in my career.... and also those crazy and wacky fun times we had at office and events!

I hope that we will still keep in touch!!

I'm counting down to 11.5 days ....

Wedding matters.... What's to be done!!

Putting tgt a quick wedding!

• Get a date.. which currently I do not have.. not a confirm date just a tentative one which is very likely to change. Have been asking my fiance to sit down and decide on a date for our wedding but to him.. he thinks it's no hurry. And he have no wish to find a fortune teller to calculate a good date for us. So guess this have to wait

• Get the location .. at the early stage of our planing, no confirm venue yet. Can't decide to do a garden wedding at Rochester Park or a small and cosy event in one of the hotel. A small problem... we have small families so the number of tables required at the major hotels... we can't gather enough. Any hotel that is good and affordable and can have at least 11 tables??!! 

• Get the ring.. Does engagement ring consider??! Hehehhee... Nope.. this is not done yet. As our wedding is going to be in 2013.. so we have no hurry to purchase the wedding bands. So far I would love to have a pair of Love & Co wedding band but got to see if fiance likes any of the design there...

• Get the vendors... Currently I'm still doing my research... for AD photography & Videography + a photobooth... I've been in love with both One Eye Click & Wishwanders' work... competitive pricing but no confirmations yet. But I'm happy to say that I've already chosen my engagement photographer and also the suppliers for printing my photo album and big canvas frame.. ^^

• Getting the gown/dress and tuxedo. Well this is consider DONE! Yeah!! My bridal shop packages includes all the actual day needs plus a set of gown n suit for outdoor engagement shoot! But I'm contemplating to purchase a evening gown.... Got to see how's my budget!! hehe 

• Get a theme... Hmm.. I know that with a theme in mind. Things can be done more easily esp the bridesmaids' dresses and the venue deco... I was actually think about Rustic Wedding and the Classical white, pale pink and green colour theme..

• Getting the guest list.. This area here, I don't foresee any problems cos it's going to a small n cosy affair with our family, relatives and close friends...

Looking at the bullet points.... Seems like wedding has many stuffs to plan and research.. Luckily the wedding is in 2013...

Farewell Dinner @ Seafood Paradise...

Recently my department celebrate my farewell tgt with another colleague who is leaving too at Seafood Paradise @ Defu Lane area..

Its my second time there.. the crabs are really delicious!!! Thought the bill comes up to be quite costly.. but i can it's a nice gathering!

End of May... is my colleague's last day at work. Quite an emotion outburst. Which i think it's normal cos we have been working together for almost 7-8 years tgt. To leave such a comfortable environment and move on to a brand new is quite alien to anyone for us. But we must move on!

Mine will be end of June. I hope that I'm able to hold my tears back when i bid my farewell to all my wonderful colleagues.... And I hope that we can always stay in touch...

Tgt with a few of my colleagues we bought this crystal pen for my crazy colleague... tempted to get 1 for myself too...
Esp the all white crystal pen! <3 it to the max!!

Come July will be a brand new start for me and I'm excited about my new changes..
