Wedding post: Wedding Gowns

Previously I posted my wedding gowns selections and posted pictures of the gowns that I didn't choose.

And so today.. I shall post on those that I choose....

Bridal Shop: Sattine Bridal Couture

This was my intital choosen gown... I like the wow factor when I wore the gown but somehow my mother don't like it.. She thinks I look fat and short in this gown! Haiz! (-___-")

In this end, this was my gown for my actual day.. Actually I do like this gown too, when it was my turn to selection, I already saw a bride wore this gown before me. Thus I wasn't too keen to choose. 

This was the gown and the reason why I choose Sattine as my Bridal Shop. Because I fall in love with the outdoor gown and this! At that time when I was browsing thru the bridal website, I saw this gown design and love it. And when I saw this hanging at Sattine.. I told Mr Lee that I think we can confirm this bridal shop as our Bridal Shop.

It was quite an easy decision when it comes to the evening gowns cos I was tad disappointed that they didn't have what I was looking for. As I mention in my previous post, I wanted a RED colour evening gown but somehow I couldn't find the ONE.. The above picture was want I wanted to choose but my girlfriends think that something is lacking. And I thought so too....

This gown is soo me.. so my bridal co-ordinator was kind enough to give me this gown as my tea dress. I like how flowly this gown is!!!

Actually when I think back, I'm quite happy with my gowns that I've chosen but if I have the money, I would of course go for MTM and all the big designers name. Hahaha. Back to reality... The service, gowns designs and help that I received from Sattine was a happy experience.

Wedding gowns.

Was browsing thru china online shopping website.. and I chance upon this Vera Wang's 2013 collections of wedding gowns.

When I was about to do my selections of gown. I told my co-ordinator that I want a red evening gown cos that season, Vera Wang came out with all the gorgous red EG! I was drooling over it...

Especially this one!

I didn't choose this as it's not very flattering on me... Can see all my fats!! Ahhhh1!!!!!!

Well in the end I choose this...

And I was very happy with this cos.. there is layer and layer of tulle that sparkles whenever I move!! Pictures don't do any justice. But I think it was captured on video!

I'm still waiting for my brother to complete the video for me, so in the mean time just endure with this slightly blur and shaky video... =P

A busy Tuesday

Yesterday we had our Guo Da Li.. As we weren't really the traditional kind of people and this has to be done thus we opt for the simplest way to do.

Early in the morning, Mr Lee and his parents come over to my place to give all the GDL stuffs, and I was told to hide inside my room until all the exchange of stuffs are done. So no pictures are taken!

Taken after the process is done... I'm given my jewellery by my MIL

Mr Lee's dad is quite pan dang kind so he told him that we are not supposed to meet each other for the next 2 weeks. And I was like , "Huh???!! But we still have to go for our Final Fitting for our wedding attires and also to collect our ROM certfiicates??!". So we decided to meet each other secretly! Hahaha

After GDL, we had an appointment for our Final Fitting. I really envy Mr Lee much, he is so skinny that he don't have much alternations to do!
I still have to go back again for some minor alternations! Ai yo!!

Tried on my Wedding Gown, still need some minor adjustment as on the shoulder strap as I'm wearing a toga style wedding dress. Love my wedding gown details with sweetheart details. Somehow from my memories, my wedding gown very revealing but when i put it on.. Gosh! My boobs almost feel like it's spilling out! But I was thinking so long I don't expose myself, it's my wedding day. I have the assets to flaunt it than I should... If not want to wait till went??!! (^_~)

My next love is this evening gown! I was set out wanting to have a Red Colour evening gown but all the design didn't suit me very well so I managed to choose this light blue colour. I love love love the velet details and the sparkler of the inner layer tulle. It make me seems like a Sparkling Princess! Hahah

The only red dress that I will be wearing is this Tea Dress. Had to do quite alot of alternations for me as the length of this dress is so long, my coordinator has to fold in the hems for me and also I requested a lower neckline so all the previous measurement take for me have to redo..

So I'm going back again this Sunday to try on my gown. Next Thursday, I'll collect my gowns and get ready for my wedding!

 Our last stop.. Maxwell Food Center! Previously when i went there in Oct for my selections, the hawker center is close for renovation. Recently they have open their doors and i'm in treat for yummy food!
The Hokien Mee here is just so so but I love the Lao Ban Beancurd and there is this store that sells yummy fried sweet potatoes. I can eat 3 balls at a go!! Hahahaha

I should stop being a pig and exercise control! Wedding date is getting nearer and I'm no where of getting silm. Haha

Wedding Preparation: Trial makeup

Last Tuesday, Mr Lee and I went back to Sattine for my trial makeup and for his selections of jacket and pants.

I like how Mr Lee look wearing classic suit! So Handsome!! hehehe

I didn't take any pictures of Mr Lee's selections. I hate Grooms to wear all white during the wedding, I know that all white theme = prince charming (ba ma wang zi) but i think it's not suitable for Mr Lee.

While he choose his jackets and pants, I did my trial makeup. Although I have to make payment, but I'm pretty happy with the results! Kent (my MUA from Sattine) said that my skin condition is quite good, just need to do more mask and exfoliate often!

I didn't have much pictures cos each time we are at Sattine, Mr Lee always seems restless. Which I have no idea why??!

As some BTB will know that recently braids are very popular. So I told my MUA my preferred kind of hairstyles. He briefly let me know if it's do-able... and also to tell me to dye my hair. Cos from hair. the braids don't stand out!

So I'm looking out for Groupon deals for hair colour. Wanted to visit Huifen from Zinc Hair Salon and realised that they are having promotion for hair colour @ $178 include hair cut, colour and treatment. But as my wedding date is getting nearer, I need to save more moolahs.. so skip $178 and look for cheaper deals!!

Sattine also provide us with the bridal hand bouquet. Me and Mr Lee like this colour since it will match my white gown and one of my bridesmaid colour.

I won't be using this hand bouquet as I have the crystal one. So this bouquet will only be used perhaps during the morning session and tossing of bouquet.

Ok.. So here is my makeup look. I realized that I kinda of look scary here!! This look is meant for the evening and Kent said that on the AD, makeup will be smokier as he didn't dare to do too heavy on my trial.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the things and service provided at my bridal shop.

I'll be there for my next fitting on 18th Dec!

Wedding preparation: Filed! + Hair Trial

Yesterday night both Mr Lee and I finally have the time to sit down together and do our filing of the marriage!!!

Supposed to filed this in October but Mr Lee was kinda busy and I was busy settling other stuffs of the wedding..

For filing of marriage, couples will have to serve the 21 days notice, if case anyone objects (which i highly doubt it).. hehe.. The earliest we can file our notice is 5th Oct and latest date was 10th Dec 2012.

Previously we have already gotten our JP's license number, met up with him and he has signed the consent letter. Once you have that in order, next thing is to prepare 2 witness IC number. For both of us, get our mothers to be our witness.

Finally we settled this important step of getting married! Countdown to another 1 month and 20 days!!

Tomorrow I'll heading to Sattine for my hair trial and Mr Lee's jacket and pants selections.

I've collated afew hair styles that I love and I hope that these hairstyle can suit my wedding gowns!

Wedding Preparation: Selections of Actual Day Gowns

I realized that I didn't blog about my selections of gown.

Last month, in Oct.. my company happened to have a "Fun Day" whereby all stuffs and students get a day off to hang out and have fun @ Sentosa.. Since I don't have to work and it's a Friday, So I took the opportunity to make an appt with Irene (my bridal coordinator @ Sattine) to do my selections for AD gowns. Cos I know in November I will be super busy!

And I highly doubt that I want to go over in weekends cos there will be other brides to be coming up to inquire and do other stuffs. I rather do it on a week day cos that is more attention from my bridal coordinator!

My mother and my bff from work and childhood friend can't make it for my appt to do the selections. So I went with another 2 gfs to help me with my selections.

I think I tried like 7-8 bridal gowns. It's a tough choice cause all of their bridal gowns are so gorgeous!

A Classic & Timeless full lace sweet heart gown. If I have a church wedding, this will be the dress!

And the dress fits me nicely! Showing just the right amount of cleavage too!

                                                

Didn't consider these 2 gowns as the first one is way too simple. It's very pretty and lightweight, super easy to wear! But it's not what I'm looking for.

As for the 2nd dress with the off shoulder, Its so tight that it restrict my hand movement. So it's out too!

I tried on a total of 8 wedding gowns. These are the ones that i tried on and finally I choose 1. Din't want to post it up so you guys will have to wait till it's the actual day!

Next up : Evening Gowns

To be honest, I'm quite disappointed with Sattine's limited variteies of EG. Irene let me tried some EGs as I couldn't decide which WG to choose and since that I'm having a outdoor solemnization and wedding buffet, her concern for me is my movement. If i choose a too heavy dress, my movement will be restricted. So to choose my EG than decided what type of WG to choose.

I told Irene that I wanted RED colour for my EG cos I'm so in love with Vera Wang's new seasons of bridal gowns. As you can guess, it's all in RED. Super nice shades of red. Unfortunately Sattine only have serveral red EGs that is suitable for me. Which none i really like.

They do have beautiful evening gowns. But I just tad disappointed that the red evening dresses isn't that suitable. Except for the last evening dress.. When I wear it, it just feel so "ME".. that Irene said that she can let me have it as my Tea Dress. It's so light weight and flowly! So love it!

Like the WG, I'm not going to post my EG. But I can say it's a tiffany blue gown with 2 tone colours. And the skirt has simmering netting! I practically just sparkler with every movement! I love love love love this evening gown!

I can't wait to see the dresses that I've choose!! My first fitting is coming real soon!

1 month & 27 days to go before I change my status to Mrs Lee...
