Yup like the title.. these stamps is from Stampendous another brand of stamp makers tat I'm totally crazy about..
While revising my paper.. my hands starts to itch for an layout but i know that if i start on an layout i won't have enough time to do my revision so.. i stamp a few pictures on my sketch book and start painting.. hahahahaha..

{M} will scold me for wasting my time if he knows that I spend precious time colouring and painting these.. But it's another form of de-stressing method for me.. hehehe

Haha... Jiayou!!
I got this photo at CK scrapbook online.com, the layout caught my eye.. i like layouts tat are clean and simple... My hands starts to itch for another layout but now i have to concentrate on my exams!

Exams coming..

Exams is coming near and my revision is not totally done.. Oh no!!!

These last modules are definitely not my favourite modules.. Internet and E-commerce is such a dry and boring module and right now... i have to really study the notes to understand! Tough! With not much time to revision, I'm keeping my fingers cross! Be glad if I'm able to score a C.

Anyway, I'm going to endure to chong my revision all the way and thereafter i can truly enjoy my CNY celebrations.. haha

" When unhappy, one doubts everything; when happy, one doubts nothing" ~ Joseph Roux.

Being happy is a motto.. This layout is my first layout of the year! For this year, i would wish to learn how to create a mini album and try to do cards as well..

Although exams are not over yet, i've already start to plan as if the exams are over! Haha.. Revise revise again!!

The art of disstressing..

The Distressing Side of Scrap booking

Crumpling, folding, tearing and sanding may sound like a lot of work, but it’s actually a lot of fun and simple way to add texture to your scrapbook pages. All of these words fall under the “shabby chic” term and are illustrated in samples on this page. Just remember, what makes these techniques so popular is that there are no rules, the rougher and less planned the better the look.

Crumpling & Distressing Sample Sanding sample

Crumpling or distressing

Add well-worn years to your paper by crumpling your paper into a ball. Patterned paper will fold easily dry, while cardstock will need to be moistened with water either by using a spray bottle or completely immersing it. Crunch the paper into a ball and squeeze out any excess water. Carefully unfold and repeat until you achieve the look you want. Spread out to let dry or iron the paper on a cotton setting to speed up drying time and to smooth out some of the wrinkles

Sanding

Sanding helps to fade and give the illusion of wear and tear. This technique works best on paper or stickers that have a white core or backing for bits of the top layer of colour will be sanded away exposing the white. Try fine or medium sandpaper for the hasher the grit, the more colour and finish will be removed. Also, try folding the paper before you sand for another look, and sand lettering and metal embellishments too.

Tearing and Rolling Sample Paint sample

Tearing & rolling

To soften the look of your paper, rip the edges. For precision, dampen a cotton swab with water and run it where you want the tear. Also try rolling the edges of the torn paper to add dimension. Just wet slightly and then roll upward.

Paint

Paint patterned paper with watered down acrylic paint (dab excess paint with paper towel) to change its appearance. Also consider sanding once the paint has dried.

Chalking & Inking Sample

Chalking & Inking

Chalking or inking both ages and softens. Try colouring the edges of torn paper, tags and even fabric and ribbons. Although browns are a common colour to use, try colours that complement your pages.

Welcome 2009

Year 2008 was an eventful year for everyone and for me.. it's a year of up and downs. I look forward to a new start in year 2009!

This is a year where I've complete my diploma classes and I'll be completely free from exams! Er.. if only I'm intending to take my electone exams. And for this year.. I've plan to take my driving license, go holiday - Taipei will be on my next list, take up scrapbook workshops on mini albums and of cos.. Spend less and save more!

This will be my motto for year 2009.. hopefully I'm able to stick to it!

Cheers....
