Babies are always a cutie

Seriously babies are always a cutie, especially those toofat babies...

Recently one of my sister in law gave birth to a healthy baby boy around Aug 2013. We didn't get a chance to meet him cause they are staying in Brisbane. When she gave birth, my mother in law flew over to help her out with her confinement and looking after the baby. Because my mother in law isn't I.T savvy at all.. so no picture of the baby.

It's only till last week, they arrive in Singapore to celebrate Chinese New Year.. and I get to see my nephew in law for the first time... such a chubby baby boy at 5 months old...

Training time for hubby... he need lots of practise around babies!
Especially when Baby Danielle is going to arrive anytime soon.... *keep my finger cross*

{baby, please arrive after CNY!!}

Does all baby fall asleep with a smile?!?

Simply love his chubby hands..

If you're wondering.. why this baby don't look Chinese??!!

That's because he is half Chinese and half Germany... Now at 5 months old.. he seems to be a pretty easy looking after baby.

What you need to do to make him sleep??

- Feed him milk
- Shower
- Change diaper
- Cover him with his blanket

And viola~ he will fall asleep in a short while....

At times when he whines and cry, just carry him and he stops!

I am praying super hard that when Baby Danielle is out.. she will be like this too!! I hope they will have that genes since they are cousins!!

My hubby is hoping that his nephew will have a chance to meet Baby Danielle... but we are unsure if she will arrive before they leave??!

I told Danielle that as long as she hits full term (37 weeks), she is welcome to arrive anytime!

Sooooo excited and yet anxious!!

Tomorrow is the eve of CNY!!!! Yeah~~

This year is the only year that I can snack on all the CNY goodies without any guilt! ^_^v

In case I don't post again before CNY..

Have a Happy Lunar Year!!

Fernvale Lea ~ Jan 2014 updates

As I've mention tons of time before.. after since I shifted to Bukit Panjang... I don't have much chance to visit our new flat site to check out on it's progress....

So I heavily relied on Facebook and this kind soul's blog to check out on the updates.

Taken on 18 Jan 2014
Fernvale Lea
Photo taken from Fernvale Lea's FB group

Above picture is taken from a kind soul who updated on the FB group that my block (469B) has started to intstall the windows on the 2nd level.

Seems like its' quite a fast progress.. however recently I heard from news that our BTO exercise has a fatal accident.

A foregin worker fall to his death while working.. and I got pretty worried and wonder it is because the developer wants to complete its project in its shortest time and negelected it's workers' safetly and if they are lucky, no fatal causalites... consumers like us will receied inferior goods???

Haiz.. I think it's difficult to please both side. As a young family, I wish that my flat will arrive house.

Cause it's no joke living with my in laws and my hubby has 4 other siblings.

We are just pure lucky that 2 of his other siblings doens't live in Singapore. If not, how to house so many of us???~

Anyway, CNY is coming so I should cut short my gumpiness on this and be thankful of what I have.

Since we know that our flat might be arriving early.. i started to source for inspiration....

Here are some of the pictures that I've collected so far...

This is how i envision our corridor... White walls with black doors and frame.
Super love the cement screed floor titles.

At first, we wanted to do just cement screed floor titles, did my research online and realised that after while, the floor will crack.

So this is our next alternative. Cement Screed Like Ttiles!

The moment we ballot our flat, choosen a unit. He said to me that he wants to have a bar counter.
So I saw him this.. and he say, YES! This is what I want!! Hahaha

Know that I most likely can't have a room just for walk in wardrode.. but it would be nice to have this mini walk in wardroe in our room... ^_^

Love the kitchen light bulbs!!

Will slowly update my mood board for more inspiration on home renovation!

Seriously I can't wait for my flat to arrive..

Just another 1.5 years to go!! Jia you!!!

My Preterm Labour Scare @ Week 35

Let me blog about this pre term labour scare that I recently experience before my goldfish memory erase it off my mind....

It on happened on 21 Jan 2014, early in the morning between 4.30am - 5am, I woke up not because I need to pee but i realised that I'm having slight cramps.. So I thought maybe it's just a little cramp and it will go away. When to pee, cause I dun wan to get up again.

'
Google about the signs of pre term labour

Fall back into sleep, but my cramp persists... it was till much later on.. the cramps starts to get really bad. Like those kind you will get when you're having your period on those heavy flow days + I have this super backaches that my bones will just collapse...

I can't fall back into sleep and I start to time the interval. And looking at the timing, it seems quite consistent. So I woke hubby up... and inform him. I quickly showered. Text my boss and colleague that I'm most likely taking half day. Called Dr Tseng and he wants to see me..

We were afraid that I might give birth on that day.. so we packed our hospital bag in the record time.

Off we went to see Dr Tseng... did a series of test and scans. We are thankful that Baby Danielle's heartbeat is beating strong and most of all.. the contractions signs seems to slow down when we are at the clinic. But Dr Tseng still wants to be cautious, so given me 2 jabs.
1 to stop the contractions. Another one to mature baby's lungs. The latter jab is the most painful of all.. make my legs super sore!

Guess what he is hoping to do is to delay the birth at week 35 cause 20% of the babies born at this week will have breathing problems. Thought a good 80% are babies are healthy, still he didn't want to risk it. And having baby staying in NICU is very costly.

Coupled with the injections, I did to take these medicines. Lets hope that Baby Danielle be a good girl and stay in my tummy till Mummy pass gestation week 37!

So I'll be at home this whole week to rest... and make sure Baby Danielle is healthy and well..

P.s while tying this post.. she is kicking me non-stop.. Such a playful girl.. ^_^v

Oh!! CNY is coming in 8 days! This year, I can snack on all the CNY goodies without any guilt.

Have a great week ahead!

Pregnancy Week 35

Wohoo!! It's my pregnancy week 35!
Image from Huggies.com.au
Pregnancy Week 35
I've another 5 more weeks to full term (40 weeks) or just another 2 more weeks to 37 weeks.

My gynae appointment with Dr Arthur Tseng has changed from fortnightly to a weekly visit till I deliver.
Seems like this pregnancy happens just too fast and too soon. Haven't really fully enjoy all my pregnancy privileges and I'm soon to deliver... Hehehehe..

All is well with Baby Danielle and we are happy to know that she is in the right position to be deliver. All we need her to do is to just turn her head slightly and she is in "engaged" position.

Dr Tseng did mention to me that petite mummies tend to give birth at least 2 weeks earlier than the EDD. I was hoping to have her during Valentine's Day (as its the same day that hubby and I are officially an item). And I am at the same time anxious and excited for Danielle's arrival. Keeping my fingers cross... Let see when she decides to arrive...

Me and my ugly feet...
Don't have much to blog about my visit with Dr Tseng cause so far so good.. except my water retention feet is super ugly now. My mil mention that I'm pretty lucky to start having water retention when I'm at my last lap of pregnancy.. There are ladies who started having water retention as early as 5th mth onwards.

So here is a little brief update.
  • Danielle's weigh is 2.5kg
  • Mummy's weight is 66.8kg {getting too fat - need to do more prenatal yoga}
  • Is in head down position, lying on my left side with her face facing my right.
  • Dr Tseng mention that my amniotic fluid is in good level! {I practically drown myself with tons of water}
  • Not much cravings recently. I practically eat everything.
  • Most uncomfortable at night, due to growing belly, I can't sleep well and I get up every 3 - 4 hours to pee
  • Dr Tseng advise me to do more squats and walking up the stairs... {this is a super tough thing to do when you're heavily pregnant. But it has it's benefit so I'm going to be a hard working mummy}
  • Danielle's movement - not so much of punches or kicks cause there isn't much space for her to do so.. I can only feel her jabs as her stretch myself.
  • As usually, Danielle is super active at night when it's mummy's bedtime.

More updates on my Pregnancy Week 36 as I know it's time for me to do another scan with Dr Tseng..

Did I also mention that I'm on "Maternity leave" mode whenever I'm at work... Hehehhee

Have a great week ahead!

My Maternity Shoot with Ting {Lightedpixel Pixies}

Previously I mentioned that I've scheduled a maternity shoot together with my hubby with one of the photography company that I've come to like their works... Lightedpixel Pixies!

Almost wanted to choose this company to cover my wedding's Actual Day photography.. however the pixies are not available on my wedding date and since One Eye Click is available and I've admired their works for the longest time.. I choose them.

Glad I have an excuse to do another photoshoot... but it isn't an easy affair cause my hubby is the most grumpy-est person when it comes to taking photos. I wonder why he hate to take pictures so much??!!

So here are the selected edits that I choose..

The photos are not what I expected like my pre-wedding photos but I think Ting managed to capture afew soft moments... esp my hubby.. Hehehe..

Images are taken when I'm in my 2nd trimester {Week 22}...
I went to research for Maternity photo shoot and many recommended to have the maternity shoot taken during the 32 - 35th weeks where the baby bump is the most prominent.

But I personally feel that maternity shoot at 2nd trimester is pretty workable for me as I don't get tired so easily.. Especially now with my huge water retention feet.. it may be difficult for me to walk around.

I'm toying with the idea to have another photoshoot.. this time it's just me only!!! Pregnancy is something very special and amazing journey for me.. So I thought why not do another photoshoot, just me and my baby bump.

Wanted to go to a studio to do a nude maternity shoot to show off that bump but my stretch marks are kinda of scary!! I did apply tons of stretch marks cream.. but it's still unavoidable...

Recently I purchased Clarins Stretch Marks Prevention cream..and boy.. its really good..
Fast absorption and it doesn't make me itch... Very light scent.
After a week of application.. seems to lighten my existing stretch marks...

Glad I bought this!!!!

Have a great week!!

How you kick start your year in 2014??!!

Hello!! So far, how is January 2014??

1st Jan 2013 - We said our vows at Amara Sanctuary Resort.

A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies varies for any given year.

We started Jan'14 with our first wedding anniversary... Didn't have much plans to go anywhere to celebrate cause I'm super huge with baby Danielle inside. And we are kinda of lazy.. No super nice lunch or dinner..

Just a simple day out in Bukit Batok Nature Park..

I bought a new wallet for my hubby cause the current one that he is using is super super cui already.

I hope he will like this one...

A simple bifold wallet from Mont Blanc.

As my lappy is dying on me... I've been toying with the idea of getting a new cheaper laptop but couldn't really decide.

My hubby went out on a weekend with the excuse of having some quality time with his friends.. but he actually went out to purchase this laptop for me!!!!!

As my anniversary gift!!

Super super touch!!! <3 p="">

Well.... I can't say this is exactly how a girl wants to spend her wedding anniversary but I am glad to have this unromantic hubby of mine to spend this special day... in a simple way.

And a little pregnancy update...

Currently I'm at week 33.. Had my OB gynae visit last week and we are super happy to hear that Baby Danielle is growing fine..

At week 32 & 5 days, she weighs 2.2kg...

My gynae, Dr Tseng is pretty sure that Baby Danielle won't arrive early as all my statistics shows that I have a low risk pregnancy.. everything looks normal and healthy..

My baby bump is super huge now...

Trying to find a comfortable position to sleep is like mission impossible. My center of gravity has also change.. I can't walk to fast or I will trip and fall... So now i walk like a duck..

However I"m super delightful to hear that Danielle is growing fine and she has long legs!!! Yeah!!
I'm not going to be afraid that she is going to be a shortie like mummy!! ^_^

More updates on my pregnancy as I will be visiting my Dr Arthur Tseng every fortnight.
