Mini Moon to Bali - Day 2 (Part 2) & Day 3

After a hot and humid afternoon, wondering the seaside and shopping area. We purchased some titbits and went back hotel for a dip in the cooling pool.

And I wanted to try bali massage before we leave this place. Mr Lee isn't very keen to massage and prefer to chill and smoke by himself.

So off I went to pamper myself with a 60 mins Balinese massage while Mr Lee seats comfortably in the nearby cafe for a drink and smoke... My hubby is so good and chatting with the staffs in the cafe that he managed to arrange a driver to send us to the Jimbaran beach for our seafood dinner!! ^_^

The view at Jimbaran is amazing.. my only regret.. we did not arrive in time for the sunset if not I believe the view will be spectacular.

There are many seafood restaurants along the beach.. we didn't know which to go so we just merely follow the driver. See which restaurant he drops us, we dine in there. Seafood dinner for 2 isn't very cheap but still quite okay. But with the view to compensate, we have no complains.

One thing I got addicted is the corn! It just taste so juciy and nice! Something that I seldom taste in Singapore.

After dinner, our driver for the night sent us to their local wholesales shopping mall to shop. Didn't buy much, just a few items to bring back for our families.

And when we are back to our hotel room, we watch movies and play sparklers and then we hit the sack.

 Start of Day 3

Rise and shine... went back to the main hall at the hotel for breakfast and had a quick dip in the pool again before we had to pack up and ready get for our trip back home.

Sooo miss Bali!! I wanna go back there again!!!

My baby loots from the Baby Market Fair 2013

Motherhood is very new to me and almost alien experience. But I am thankful that I have many girlfriends around me who are already a mummy and willing to share their experience with me. This comes in very handy when I'm preparing my newborn purchases...

Believe me, everything looks so cute all you want to do is just buy and buy!!

I saw this caption in one of the photos from instagram and I fall in love with in..

A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside, when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the first time.. and the playful kicks reminds her that she is never alone.

Can't wait to see my maternity photos with Ting from Lightedpixel Pixies. Know that currently she has lots of backlog to clear so I told her to take her with my shots.  I am a bride once and I know the anxious feeling while waiting for their pre wedding / actual day photos. =)

Anyway back to my post.. these are what I purchased during the Baby Market Fair 2013 at Expo.

I purchased a very cute Sesame Street Bed Bumper @ $10!! Also a hooded blanket / towel for around $20 ++

A baby sling carrier from "The Birth Shop" that cost me around $40. Some mittens and booties set for my little one. Bought 4 packs at $15.90

A safety nail cutter for my little one too.. I saw many mummies purchasing the 3 pcs pillow set so I join the trend and bought one too. I think it cost me around $12.90. I also bought the bean pillow too cause my gf recommended that it's good to have this bean pillow to place it on baby's belly or chest so that they don't get frighten easily.

The Philips Avent Newborn Milk bottle set cost me $55!

I wanted to purchase the Philips Avent Single Breast Pump at the fair but within minutes, all their stocks were all snapped up. I managed to hold on to a double breast pump which I'm not so keen to purchased. When the SA told me that they can deliver the breast pumps to me after the fair, I quickly let go the double breast pump and make my way to que up and pay all the items.

About 1 week plus after the Expo fair, they delivered my breast pump!

I saw many parents bought lots of pampers and they purchased in bulk!! I wanted to buy a few too but I'm not too sure which to get so I thought baby diapers are also available in supermarkets. I can purchase this at a much later stage.

One last item that I purchase - Baby Stroller!

Flite from Bumbleride

They have yet to deliver the stroller to me cause my EDD is only in Feb 2014. So they will most likely going to deliver during Dec 2013 / Jan 2014.

Can't decide which colour should I get??

Seeing all these baby stuffs, I can't wait for my little one to arrive.

Enjoying my rainy Saturday afternoon at home... with my little one inside, playful kicks and nudges..

Baby Updates: Week 22

I can't believe how fast times flies. Week by week, it has pass by so fast!!!

Nothing much has happened this week as I'm not scheduled for another visit to Dr Tseng till next month.

But I do realized that my bowel movements has improved greatly.. thanks to have at least 3 serving of fruits per day and 2L of water!! But.... I'm not sure if any mummies to be experience this, my stools has been of rather dark colour recently, like super dark brown. I once had black stools and I got a shock when I wipe myself.. I quickly inform Dr Tseng and he says that it's due to the iron contents in my prenatal vitamins and was asked to observed for the next few days.

Luckily my stool turned to dark brown for the next few days.. not sure if it's good or bad.. But so long no black stools, I'm safe!!

As usual the need to pee is constantly around but the volume isn't alot. Read it up on internet and this is quite common cause baby is just sitting on my bladder!

Week: 22 Weeks & 5 days
Baby size: 30 cm (about the size of a papaya)
Weight: Around 300 grams.
Craving: Peel fresh Yuzu drink and longan red dates tea!!

Have a great weekend!!

When I have the creative Juice & Energy!

Even in my 2nd trimester.. I still get tired easily. Trust me, it's not easy to find a comfortable position to sleep when my belly is growing bigger! I used to fall asleep with my bolster lying on top of me... that my favorite position but now with the growing belly, I can't do that anymore... The bolster won't lay on top of me.. it will just roll down!! T_T

So on that very fine weekend when I have the creative juice and energy.. I scrapped!! Not just 1 layout but 2 layouts!!! A pat on my back!! ^_^v

Found this photo of us taken during our very first coupleshoot in year 2011
Scrapped this old photo of us taken in year 2011.. A very simple layout as I planned to use a smaller photo to showcase the speech bubbles that I've stamped but somehow I like this effect.

And I finally get to use the Amy Tangerine sewing stencil! So fun that I went to purchase more twines so that I can stencil and sew!! Contemplating to get the alphabets one too!!

And i finally printed one of my many ultra sound scan of my little one!!

This one was taken at week 12 and we caught our little one sucking thumb!!

Currently I'm at week 21 and I've known the baby's gender but i wish to keep it a secret first cause I'm finally going for my photoshoot with lightedpixel pixies tomorrow!!!!

Hopefully the weather will be good to us!!

Which gynae am I with??

I realised that I didn't blogged about my experience of finding out my pregnancy and its journey thus far..

  1. Finding a gynae the moment you realised you're expecting!

Well, the moment we know that I'm pregnant.. I started to text a few of my girlfriends for recommendation of gynaes.

They recommended a female & male gynae. Female gynae is practising at Thomson Medical and male gynae is practising at Gleneagles.

Made a call to the clinic at Thomson Medical, however she is fully booked and I have to wait for almost a week before I can see her. Can you imagine the wait??

So I made a call to Gleneagles and made an appointment with male gynae. Luckily he has a slot for me at the end of week when I made the appointment.

Hence I'm with Dr Arthur Tseng (Dr Arthur Tseng Womens Health Services Clinic)

So far my experience with him is quite pleasent. He always asking me if I have any further questions about my pregnancy and stuffs. Previously he was practising at KKH and he is quite popular at KK. Many mummies and mummies to be commented in forum that he is kind a nice doctor!

I don't have anyone to compare on his charges but i think being at Gleneagles perhaps the charges are slightly higher.

My first consultation with him cost us a few hundred bucks ($150 + $60 scan) = $210. Not including medicines.

Our subsequence visit consultation will cost $90 and scan is priced at $60. Until I reach 16 weeks, I'm offered a package deal of $1199 which consists of 11 consultations and 10 scans.

I can't think of any bad points with Dr Arthur, except that he kinda of run abit longer time with his patients and even if I'm early / on time for my appointment. I always have to wait for abit.

Some of mtbs commented that he always sells medicines.... so far.. I'm quite okay. All the medicines are what I'm supposed to eat... So I guess it depends on individual.

Hehe.. we finally went for our FA scan at week 20 and we know baby's gender~~

Stay tune for my next update!!

Baby updates at Week 20

I've finally reached the half way point of my pregnancy. So far it has been a wonderful experience.

I'm glad that I didn't have to experience all the morning sickness and other discomfort that pregnancy will cause. As usual, constipation has been around since before my pregnancy but I've made an effort to drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits hence I believe it's slightly better now than before my pregnancy.

On occasion, I've experience heartburn but that happens when I eat and lay down immediately. So now I try to walk around or sit up for awhile before I lay down.

My bump at week 20
So here's a little update on my baby and me!

Week: 20 weeks and 2 days!

Size of baby: Bannana

Length & Weight of baby: I'm scheduled for my FA scan tomorrow so not too sure about my baby's growth! But I sure can feel her/his kicks! It's getting stronger and alot more active! Usually at night or maybe when my husband is around. Baby loves to hear papa's voice and guitar playing.

Something quite amusing, my baby never fails to nudge or kick me whenever my hubby plays "Isn't She Lovely" on the guitar! Maybe is it a hint to us that our little one is a GIRL???!!!

Craving: As usual, I crave for yogurt, sushi and bread!!!

It's been a while since I had LJS breakfast!!

Healthy lunch.. i would say... hehehe!

Recently I went to Baby Fair 2013 @ Expo!! First time entering baby fair and my goodness! I experience the worst cause it's sooooo crowded! Mothers are all pushing their prams within the narrow walkway / passageway. Kan chiong fathers / mothers are pushing their way thru to get their goodies and didn't even bother to see if they knock down any preggies mummies!!

I almost fall and my tummy got knock by one or two people until I got so pissed off that I refuse to walk any further in and decided to get what I came for and get my brother to help me qued up and make payment.

Will post on what I've purchased during the Baby Fair on my next post!!

Excited to see my little one tomorrow.

See ya!!

The wait is over!!!

Since Samsung first launch "Note" galaxy phone.. I've been drooling to purchased it. But the very first batch of Note phones were marked at a very expensive price tag hence I didn't purchase and got S2 instead...

After a long wait of 22 months later and when Samsung announced that they will be launching Note 3 by end of Sept, believe me.. I jump for joy!!! Just in time for me to change to Note!

Say Hello to my new phone!!

Samsung users will know how well their phone is.. and those who are used to Apple products and then switched to Samsung phone will not get used to it.. But to me, Samsung is quite user friendly. Cause I get to drag and drop songs, pictures, movies and e-books! Unlike Apple, I need to convert certain movie formats inorder to sync to iPhone.

Now I get to enjoy a huge screen and watch my tv drama while on the go! ^_^

Over the weekend, I also purchased this!!!

Super love the Ted Baker jelly pouch.. Caught my eye on their jelly shoes but too bad they run out of my size..

Wonder if the other outlets will have my size?? Hehehe ^_^
