Honeymoon Destination

We are just 1 month going to 2 months old into marriage life.

We have yet to confirm our honeymoon destination... but we already shortlist 2 countries.

It's either Australia or New Zealand.

I don't mind either one as I haven't been to any of this country, same as Mr Lee too.

If it's Auzzie.. I plan to go Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Spend about 8 - 10 days. The plus points in going auzzie is that Mr Lee's sister is staying in Brisbane and we can save a bit on the accommodation if we were to go there. And with so many budget airline flying to Australia, air fare won't be that expensive.

And I somehow managed to find quite bit of travelogue on blogspot on Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

For New Zealand.... I can't find much information on travelogue  Maybe Singaporeans don't travel to NZ that much??? I know that NZ is a nice place, with many beautiful scenery and I won't mind going there to snaps some photos too! But the air fare is kinda high, about $2k per pax. The cheapest that I managed to search is around $1.3k.

I even went to library to loan these books to find out more information  But seriously I would much prefer to read such information thru the net and people's blogs. At least I know the most updated information.

Why we haven't decided yet? Because Mr Lee has been very busy, every night he will practise and practise for his little gig during Contempo Music School's open house. So we haven't really discuss. Plus each time I ask, he say, "Let me think about it". Yup.... so that is why lah.

We did discuss before that we will be going around September as it's my least busy period and Mr Lee happen to have a week's holiday.. So the month is confirm....

Now it's WHERE??!!

Let's hope we have a decision soon!! Missed the last NATAS fair, guess I might drop by when they are here on the next run!

Have a great week!!

IKEA Lust...

I'm lusting over these items.

So badly in need of a full length mirror but currently I'm residing with Mr Lee and his parents, I can't do much to his room (eg, change a bigger wardrobe).

I've been searching for a cheap full length mirror but my search are futile. Until I saw this... at Ikea's website!! Price: S$12.90! I can mount it on the wall! Yeah!! I can't wait to get my hands on you!!!
I have the perfect spot for this mirror, I just need to pack Mr Lee's room abit!

BONETT Bevel-edge mirror
Another item I thought of getting is... a mini side table! Until I saw this ....

Raskog Kitchen Trolley
Yup, you're right.. it's a kitchen trolley but I was thinking of using this to store some of my nicks nags.. Price point is abit high, at $89. Wanted this first before I saw the full length mirror but now I don't know where I can place this if I were to purchase. Hmm... might KIV! Hahaha

Aspelund Wardrobe with 3 doors
If space allow, I would have gotten this and solve all problems! Cause this can fit our clothings and it already have a full length mirror but too bad the aircon position is right smack in the middle. I can't purchase any 3 doors wardrobe because will hit the aircon.

Haiz..

Rabalder Cable reel

This can be handy for tidying up all the wires around the mini table. Sometimes I need so much wire going around... makes me grumpy! Because the room is so untidy!!!

Maybe I can add some artificial plants in our room... Actually I'm mad in love with the zinc flower pot.. that I actually bough 2 of the slightly bigger size as my DIY flower decoration for my wedding. After the wedding, instead of storing plants / flowers, the zinc buckets that i bought, I reuse it to some some pens / pinwheels and other stuffs....

I can't wait for our house to ready!! Can't wait to start design our house!!

Sunday is ending soon!!

Tomorrow is moody Monday!

Snapping during Golden Hour

Yesterday, I decided not to spend my weekends on home and watch all my tv drama serials. So I went out to catch the Golden Hour..

What is Golden Hour? (In terms of photography)

In photography, the golden hour (sometimes known as magic hour, especially in cinematography) is the first and last hour of sunlight during the day.[1] when a specific photographic effect is achieved due to the quality of the light.
Source: wikipedi

I know that photos taken during this hour can have very nice lighting effect. So I venture into Botanic Garden and do some snapping.

Saturday at Botanic Garden is super crowded. There are wedding functions going on, SSO having some kind of musical performance  tourist visiting the garden, families having picnic at the fields, newlywed couples having their pre wedding photos taken and some friendship and families photoshoot.

So I walk around, trying to capture some nice photos. All photos taken with Canon Eos 1000D + 50mm f1.8 lens.

So here are my shots.

I didn't managed to walk around the whole botanic garden cause I went there abit late. Almost 5 plus when the sun is going down real fast.

But I will  drop by again to snap more photos with a better lens!

Day 14: LOVE

Our 3rd year anniversary falls on Valentine's Day, planned to have a nice dinner and catch a movie or maybe have a little walk around Garden By the Bay. Unfortunately I fall sick and poor Mr Lee have to be at home, looking after me..

And we didn't have the time to celebrate any "post valentine's day" cause we were so busy with work!!!
Need to make some little time for each other..

Good news??!

These past weeks.... Mr Lee and I keep wondering...

Am I pregnant??

Well, both of us loves kids! Though I secretly hope that I have the time to enjoy  for at least 1 year of newlywed life before embarking to Parenthood.

However, Mr Lee is quite excited to have a kid. To him, he thinks that it's better for us to have our No 1. kid before the big 3's hit us and also take this chance when both our parents are still young and have energy to help us look after the kid if need be.

So I thought okay...why not? If its God's will to gift us a kid than I will accept it. But if its not, than baby will arrive later.

So when my period is due and nothing arrive... I thought, "Hmm... maybe it's slightly late?!". But it's almost 1 week due and I still haven't have my period.. So I thought okay, let's go and buy a test kit and check.

So I went to Watson's to get this.. my BFF who is a mother of 3 recommend this brand. It's so expensive! $16.50 for just 1 stick! (-__-")

Tested it this morning before I get ready for work... I guess the night before Mr Lee is quite excited about the result that he couldn't sleep. He seems all ready for a kid..

Ok, back to the result....

The faint marking but it's confirm "Negative"
It's negative.. I'm not pregnant!
Boy, a few of my friends are actually disappointed! They can't wait to be my kid's godma! Hahaha

Period is still overdue and I'm not sure if I'm really pregnant or not. So I decided that if period still refuse to arrive in March. I'm going to a doctor to check!

So in the meantime.. I'm going to be very health conscience. More exercises, no cold beverages and no more un unhealthy food!!

Let's wait for my GOOD NEWS!

TIGF to all!!

Friends...

We all have friends in our life. I can't image how our lives will be without any friends..

I'm not a very social kind of person. My circle of friends are kinda of small and those that I keep in contacts are usually my very close friends.

I guess we have this 1 - 2 best friends who are always there for us, help us, guide us, act silly and do all sorts of rubbish, laugh and cry with us. I do have such friends and am very fortunate to have at least 2 of them.

But I have this 1 friend, her friendship is the longest to me. She's supposed to be my best friends of all the best friend. Cause we grew up together.... we were closed during teenage years but when we reach adulthood, the relationship starts to distance. To the point that each time she look for me, it's about $$$.

I would help out as and when I can.. and than she will promise to return at a certain date. Usually for me, I don't like to ask ppl back for $$ cause I look at it as a mutual trust. You say this date and I trust you. Period.
But for me, that date never come and until you ask for it that she will make arrangement to return.

Recently this 'issue' has been reoccurring every month!!! It is really very bad, every month you over budget? Perhaps it's time to think of a way to overcome this problem? Maybe taking a PT job?

Even I'm also contemplating to do a weekend PT job! With bills, savings, expenses plus I'm planing for honeymoon & maybe a kid along the way... guess $$ will be tight..

Haiz.... is it because such good buddies already so it can be taken for granted? So this time round, I said, "NO" and will continue to do so. Yes, you may think I'm selfish. Friends for so long and you don't want to help. But helping people so have a limit to it! Would you think she will help me when I'm in need?

Haiz... what a moody Wednesday...

Xoxoxo.

Updates on our lovely abode: Fernvale Lea

Now that I've moved to Bukit Panjang to stay with Mr Lee and my In-laws.. I seldom venture into the East Side as my mother isn't always around at home on weekends and my brothers too. So no point for me to go home when I will be alone. Thus no personal updates on our lovely abode.

However I've always consistently check on this person's blog to keep myself update on the progress.

Picture from sengkangzai.blogspot.sg
I'm so excited to see that it's building 8th floor.... another 10 more to reach our unit!!!

And since that my wedding is over... no planing is needed! Kinda free so I start to source for inspiration of our Dream Home!

Both Mr Lee & I like the idea of having concrete flooring for our living / dining and kitchen area. For bedrooms, will be all timber flooring. I prefer my house to be bright and airy with Scandinavian feel...

These are the fews that I've source from Pinterest.

Will continue sourcing for more inspirations and ideas. My house will have lots of my own DIY!!
Another 3 more years to for me to design and think of DIY stuffs for our lovely abode..
