Wedding Preparation: Photobooth

Recently photo booth is a craze in most wedding! It's fun for all ages!

I would want to have a proper photo booth for my wedding, search for alot of companies and asked for quotation.. Mostly the prices ranged from S$500 - S$1k for a few hours with unlimited prints.

However, my request for photo booth was rejected by Mr Lee because of budget & our all in one wedding (Solemnization + Wedding dinner) will be held at Amara Sanctuary Resort, placing a photo booth can be quite a problem. Cause the venue is like semi-outdoor.

But I know somewhere in my heart & mind that I would like to have a photo booth.. so i source for ideas to have a outdoor photobooth...

Pinterest
Super love this idea.. I might have not the lounge sofa for my guests to snap pictures with.. However I'll have lush green background with some photo props.

The nice ppl at IM. Perfection who sponsor us the LOVE sign when we took our pre wed photos with Oh! Dear Photography... they have lots of creative props rental for wedding.

I've been searching high and low for this life size poloriod frame.. Couldn't find one to rental in Singapore as mostly such props are provided if you sign up for normal photo booth package. So I decided to try my luck with IM. Perfection! They grant my wish!

So these will be the frames that I will be renting with them, add a few speech bubble props and set up my DSLR with tripod. And I'm set with my DIY photobooth..

I hope that everything will go smoothly and be carried out as I plan!

Going for my last meeting with my wedding co-ordinator @ Amara Sanctuary!

Have a great weekend!!

Wedding Preparation: DIY Crystal Hand Bouquet & Boutonniere

I'm so excitied to share with you guys this post!

Previously in my older post about Unqiue Hand Bouquet. I was inspired by my prewed photography, Melody from Oh!Dear photography by her own DIY crystal hand bouqet that she did for her own wedding.

So I set out to try on my own. My mother managed to help me to source a shop that sells ready made crystal bouquet but i don't quite like the design and it's a S size crystal bouquet that cost S$150. If I wanna make it look bigger, I have to top up S$250 for 2 rows of crystal. I think that's madness. Which makes me more determine to DIY myself.

I frequent this craft shop at Chinatown, "Golden Dragon". At here, I purchase all my pearls and crystals and the wires for my bouquet. After months of hard work... I finally get it done. But i got stuck! Because I don't know how to bundle them up!! Luckily I found this lady who is a florist and love to do craft. She help me to bundle them up and wrap it nicely with ribbon and lace!!!

So here is my months of hard work!

As Mr Lee is a guitarist...so I think why not add some of his passion elements in this wedding too?? Beside aren't our wedding suppose to reflect our personality?

I'm soo in awe of the work that this florist does for me!

A great thank you!!!

Oh.. in case you're wondering... who i get to help me bundle up the bouquet and boutonniere.

Visit her website: Flower Couture

Have a great week!

Take time

Take time to relax and do what you love to do...

I've always love scrapbooking and photography. Though recently I've been snapping much due to busy work and wedding preparation. Perhaps next year I can get enough time to indulge in this passion of mine again?!

I did a little layout for our wedding... I was inspired by another lady who did this Ten Commandments of Love for her client. They actually use this layout for the groom to sign on. Which I think it's very nice cause I find that the usual cheesy promises that the groom has to made is too ridiculous  So I thought for a change, why not do this.. Which I think we both can sign as this will apply to both of us in this marriage.

I've yet to stick on the ten commandments on the layout but I hope Mr Lee won't ban this idea. Heheheh

I hope to chance upon a picture somewhere online - can't remember! That they have this word "LOVE" spelled on a dollie paper and hang across the tree branch with a brunch of their photos clipped above. This idea stick in my head for a long time. So i managed to get it done. And I hope on the day of my wedding.. the effect will be just as how i remembered!

I just received an email from a vendor who is decorating my crystal hand bouquet for me that it's ready for collection!!!! I can't wait to see!!

Hopefully she can get back to me soon!

Vows ~ Customize or The usual one

I read from some forums and BTBs blogs that certain JPs actually required them to write their own vows.

Our JP - Pastor Amos Yeo didn't request us to write our vows. And I was happily relieved cause I have no idea how to if he were to ask us to write our own vows.

Recently this thought come across my mind, so i asked Mr Lee, "Hey, do you want to write your own vows @ our wedding?" He replied, "Nope, Nothing is more beautiful than THE ONE that has been spoken by so many other couples before us." So.... I thought, "wow!" cause what he said was really romantic!! Heheheh

But still I managed to find these 2 vows that I like most on Pinterest.... for sharing the good stuffs that I find online. (^_^v)

I still have 26 days to go till my wedding..... I hope everything will go smoothly!
Next week onwards, my diet will be all liquid diet! Jia you!!!!

Being Engaged for 1 year...

On this day last year, I said "Yes" to Mr Lee.. Look at how time flies..

It's already 1 year. In fact both of us didn't remember until I saw a old picture that I posted on Facebook. Dated 3rd Dec 2011....

It might sound weird but as a couple usually don't celebrate all the anniversary .. cos the very first day we started dating is on Valentine's Day. Guess my hubby to be is not a very romantic person... more to the practical kind though i do hope that he can be a little bit romantic once in a while.

The next "Par Tok" anniversary will be next year... where by then I'm his wife. Let's see if he wants to celebrate with me. Hahaha

Wedding Preparation : Wedding Countdown

Very fast, Ms Tan here is getting married! Just another 30 days to go. Sometimes I can't believe that I'm getting married so soon!

Currently these are the following items that are still on our outstanding list.

  1. Guest List & Seating arrangement
Both Mr Lee and I wanted a simple and cosy wedding so we limit our guest list to be 85 pax.
It's quite tough to decide whom to invite when we are planning our guest list. Luckily I came across this in Pinterest.

We still we have a rough idea who are should really invite. Problem solved.. Wedding invitation card has been send out. All we need to do is to receive their RSVP.

After sending out our invites, the next headache problem... Guest Seating arrangement! We have yet to arrange our seating arrangement for guest but we will get this down soon! Haha

As for guest seating place card. Many of you would have know that I love to DIY. And I love the idea of using pinwheels as their place card. One of my bridesmaid came over to my place to help me with these and I have 85 pinwheels in my place.. all waiting for me to indicate name and table number.

   2. Bridal Robes

I've been searching for a bridal robe for me to wear on my AD while having to do my makeup. Intially I wanted to purchase 1 from VS that has "Bride" crystal hotfix to it. But currently it's out of stock and the price is quite expensive. Didn't really continuing searching until I went Wedding stuffs shopping with my mother at Chinatown.

I saw this silk kimono that seems quite nice, price was reasonable but the auntie attitude sucks! So I didn't purchase. Last week, my mother went to Chinatown and bought for it @ $15!! So cheap!! hahaha

 3. My HENS Night party!

Yesterday my group of girlfriends organized my Hens Night party for me!!! I had lots and lots of fun!!! Really thankful and grateful that I have this group of girlfriends!!!

Some of the pictures taken during our party @ Riverview Hotel!

Our cutest little bunny of the night!!

BMs with the corsages!

Have a great weekend!
