A short getaway to Bintan

This post comes in late..

Last year December, We wanted to bring Danielle to somewhere nearby for a short getaway. Hub didn't want her to take the plane for the fear of some radiation or something. (I know right! Its bullshit) so we eventually settled on cruise or Batam / Bintan.

As it's December and it's like super high seasons.. all the cruise department date weren't good or the prices are way too expensive.

So after much debate, we went with Bintan and push our travel date forward so that hotel prices aren't that expensive.

We were all very excited about our trip and especially me cause it's the first time Danielle will be joining us. But for some reason, when it's nearer to date, my mother in law  strongly advise us not to bring her along. So we didn't and it's a blessing in disguise. Cause we got our much needed rest.

To be honest, I feel that Bintan being in Indonesia, isn't the cheapest place to go to. Whole island can even accept SGD.

So it's almost like Sentosa but the slightly cheaper version.

Activities are quite alright. We did archery, riffle shooting, ATV ride. I even drive a buggie around the resort..Have massage almost everyday.

First time at Singapore Cruise Centre

A getaway with just us 2.. but we miss our little girl sooo much!

The front porch of our villa. The view is just so amazing

The huge king size bed.
Judging at the size of the room, it's possible to add a crib in and still have plenty of walking space

The amazing view from our Villa Room

Straight after our not so nice lunch from the resort restaurant,we head to Pasar Oleh Oleh. It's a very small place that is mainly cater for tourist. Lots of massage shops and 2 - 3 restaurants and some gift shops and a polo ralph lauren factory shop. Didn't purchase any polo tees as I'm unsure if it's real??!

Nothing much to purchase. Just headed here for massage and bought some beer and tibits back to our resort.

The place where we head for our massage. Price is reasonable and techniques are quite good!

When back to our room to enjoy the sea breeze and our cheap beers!

Start of our day 2 activities.. one can rent the bicycle, ATV and buggie for a ride around the resort.

Can't remember how much was the ATV. But there was 2 route for you to choose. One that is around the resort track and a juggle track. Mr Lee wanted to try out ridding ATV so he choose the juggle track. It was quite fun cause I just sit back and relax only. Only when he need to ride those up / down slopes that it got abit tricky. Because mud water will splash up!

After riding ATV, buggies, raffle and archey.. we went back to Pasar Oleh Oleh for another massage and the highlight of the day.. Dinner by the Sea @ Kellong Resturant.

Sorry, didn't snap much photos cause we were too hungry and the food were yummy! I would say that it's worth the price that we paid. All seafood were fresh! On the side note, it will be good if one make reservations so that they will seat you at nice spot to view the sunset!

We reach the 3rd day of our trip... both of us got our much needed rest and 2 nights of undisturbed sleep!

We spend the rest of the morning and afternoon, enjoying the sea breeze and just slack away.

It's really very relaxing when Bintan is just 1 hour behind SG.

Thankful that Mr Lee like lepak holidays.. cause otherwise I won't have a chance to visit so many relaxing resort. Well, I'm used to living in concrete jungle and I love to go to places to shop!

I can't wait for our next trip together cause this time round, we promise Danielle that we are going to bring her along!

Can't wait for the 1st family holiday together in 2015.

New Year - New Goals

Hellooo... it's the first weekend of 2015 and I'm enjoying my long weekend because my wedding anniversary falls on New Year's Day.

Good thing that anniversary falls on Public Holiday... no need to take extra leave and hubby confirm will remember. No excuse to forget.

So its the new year hence I have new resolutions. Honestly, for the longest time, I haven had any resolutions because I'm not discipline enough to follow thru.

Now that I'm a mother and a wife. I think I need to have discipline and follow my resolutions.

First thing first.

PATIENCE.

Trust me.. it isn't easy to look after Danielle. Especially when she is 50% mix of my hubby and myself. Our temper and character isn't the easiest going kind. So when Danielle combines our hot temper and 200% stubbornness. You know, it isn't easy dealing with her.

And at this stage when she couldn't sit still. Forever crawling and moving around, always aiming for things that she isn't supposed to play. I get frustrated easily.

Then I come across these 2 pins in Pinterest. I know I'm raising a mini me therefore I need to set a good example to her.

If I flare up easily in front of her, than when she grows up, she will do the same.

So Patience it a must for me to achieve this year.

Saving $$

Okay.. I'm not the kind of person that is really good a saving money. In fact, I'm good at spending.
So this gotta go..

And I gotta to save. Especially this year when Danielle is turning ONE. I foresee that I'm going to send her for some kiddy courses and of course our HOUSE @ Fernvale Lea is coming soon.

So I saw this challenge online and think that its quite do-able.

But I decided to do this in reversed way because by the time December comes... lots of money is going out. Like insurance and christmas presents and CNY ang bao money.

So I just transfer $52 from my spending account to my savings account.

I really wanna to do this!! Its my goal!!

Jia you!

Have a great week!

It's the most Wonderful time of the Year~

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Christmas season is my favorite time of the year! Because I get to shop for legti reasons!
Yeah! And of course, receiving bonuses from work hence I think December is a great month to reward yourself for all the hard work you've done the past year!

As for rewarding myself.. I got myself a brand new tote bag! Hehe ^_^
Remember my previous entry regarding my dilemma between 2 bags. Well, problem solved!

Ta- da!! Say Hello to my new bag!!

Okay.. the photo that I snap using my phone (taken at my office's desk) doesn't do justice to this bag.
So I went to Pinterest to have a better quality image to show.

I've been wanting to get a black classic tote bag for the longest of time. As mention previously,  I've been eyeing on this Vanessa Bruno's sequin tote bag for quite some time.

I remembered checking it out at one of the store at Mandrain Gallery.. The medium size tote cost at $270 ~ $290 plus. That was when I was expecting Dani in mid of 2013.
But somehow I didn't purchased it there n then.

So this Christmas, I decided to purchase this instead of the Givenchy tote shop. Well, cost is a huge factor. Plus I think it's time for me to just go ahead and purchase this sequin that screams "IT's SO FELICIA, JUST BUY ME HOME!".

Super love it!

So this Christmas, our celebration are pretty subtle. Cause this year, we didn't went holiday unlike last year, we went Thailand for Christmas + babymoon.

Managed to had lunch with my gf, S @ Poulet, Bugis +.. to pass her her gift. And then dinner with my brother & hubs with baby Danielle in tow at the Sukiya Resturant @ Bukit Panjang Plaza.

Half Roasted Chicken in Cranberry Sauce
What's Christmas lunch without Dessert!! Their Creme Brulee is da bomb!
Didn't snaps any photo cause throughout the whole dinner time, Danielle is very cranky. Wants to be carried. Guess it's the lack of sleep?!

We dropped by Sengkang area today and checkout our new place. Saw lots of blocks are ready only left 1 or 2 blocks at the back that are still going thru constructions.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we can received the keys between Jan - March 2015!!!

That's all for my boring Christmas celebration.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas wish list!

All I want for Christmas...

is either  a Givenchy Bambi Shopping Tote Bag or Vanessa Bruno Sequin Embellishment bag!!

I've been eyeing on this bag since 2013... I always didn't get myself to purchase it.
The big size is pretty good for me to bring out for work or with Danielle's stuffs.

The price is quite alright.. cost about $300. But.. paying at least hundreds for a bag and ppl won't know that you're carrying a designer bag... makes me abit hesitate to purchase.

But then again, those who know Vanessa Bruno's works will know that I'm carrying her bag..

See... I'm in dilemma.

I popped by Givenchy store at Paragon one day and saw that they have this shopping tote bag on display. I like big tote bag in bucket shape!!

In fact, I've a few bags with similar shapes. But I can foresee that this bag is gonna bring me thru work, yoga and even when I'm out with Danielle.

Cost me $1750 but it's not calfskin.. it's just coated canvas..

I could purchase both and solve the problem but then.. I dun need 2 new bags..

Can't decide.....

Well let's wait till Christmas is nearer than I should decide again.

Too old to celebrate??!

In Nov, I celebrated my 30th birthday and to be honest ever since I hit 26 and above.. all birthday celebrations are quiet affair.

I guess gone were the days where I will party like crazy... nor do I have the energy to stay up till 1am.

So birthday celebrations are just a day to pamper myself with either massage, hair cut or nails treatment. And thereafter a simple dinner with some friends or just with my loves one.

This year, my big "3" celebration is alot more simple...

I just spend the day off to my tummy massage with bottomslim, head out for a session of yoga and head back home to celebrate with hubs and dani girl..

I guess the next and all the birthdays will be celebrated in such manner but I'm not complaining... Cause I simply have this birthday day off! ^_^v

My cake from Chocolate Origin

This year, my birthday celebration got meaningful. Cause this girl is part of my world!
Have a great day!

Our mother & daughter photoshoot with The Studio Loft

I finally can strike off 1 item off our Mother / Daughter bucket list.

  • Photo shoot with Danielle!
Ever since I'm hooked to Pinterest, I've seen many beautiful and precious photos of newborn. So when I delivered Dani and wanted to book a newborn shoot for her.

But.. I'm staying with my in-laws and our place is not ready yet hence it's not very nice to shoot especially when there is space limitation. So I skipped the idea.

When Dani is about 3 mths old, I called a few studio to check out their rates and find that Studio Loft is pretty reasonable. So thought of giving it a try, however they said that Dani's age is either here or there. Too old for newborn shots and too young for the slightly older babies shoot (6 ~7 mths and above).

So I waited and waited and finally during Oct in Baby Market, I signed up the package with Studio Loft.  Which cost me $550 for 1 session of Little Big Shot & CD for all the images back.

And I'm amazed by the results~~~~~

These ladies are really wonderful with babies!! I like to think that they are baby whisper! Hehehe

These are some of my favorite shot!!

Now I'm hoping to convince hubs to join us for the next family portrait!!!

Did I mention that within my package I've 2 - 5 prints out and 3 diamond acrylic block!! Can't wait to receive them!!!

TGIF!!!

Can't wait for the short getaway that hub & me is going soon!
